I can see your memories (Chapter one)
Its Christmas 2013, I’m sitting in the back on my mother’s old oversized chair, watching everyone gather around the tree on the snow-covered morning. None have yet to notice me. Though, they never do. I watch diligently as I pass out gifts and they are opened one by one. A huge smile lights up my face as I watch my mother open the gift, I bought her. She has a small smirk on her lips, already having an idea of what was in the long slim box. What she did know was how I wrapped it, but for how often I visit this memory, you’d think she would know by now. If only they knew I was sitting right here, watching my favorite memory. I listen to my mother laugh as she opens the box and finds another wrapped package.

The Night Was Cold In the Kingdom
Ice crystals began to form along the pine trees that surround the gated kingdom. The one with the walls so high, you can’t see in or out. With the towers made of stain glass. They tell a story of the past. A harsh, painful one that brought the kingdom to its glory. One of respect and dignity. In that kingdom lies a prince. Young, full of grace and loyal to his people. He wears a coat of blues and reds. A crown of silver, with rows of ruby’s lining the prestige that resides upon his black locks. It was said for century’s he would be the one to bring the two kingdoms together. Either by force or marriage.

In The End
“In the end, as we fade into the night Who will tell the story of your life?” October 2019 My mother was suddenly ripped away from this world. Taken by a blood clot to her heart, covered in the shadow of pneumonia. None of us saw it coming. She was sick from the pneumonia, but no close to death. Turned out Death had been lurking over her shoulder. We were all to blind to see it. None of us would believe you if you told us she was going to be in the hospital, fighting for her life, one normal Friday morning. With nurses and doctors struggling to save her life. Pushing deep into her chest to keep her blood flowing and get her heart to start beating again. We would have laughed at you.
