Brofluff
My superpower? It's not what you would expect, even though youâve seen it a million times. In high school, with fat cheeks and curly hair, every day was an exercise in humiliation. Then senior year arrived. I asked out Madison. She âdidnât have timeâ. The next day, she was with Brad, chiseled and tanned like a California surfer despite it being January in Wisconsin. Reddit said attractive people have nothing special except being perfectly average. It gave little solace.

Marco Polo
By the end of Saturday morning, I had interviewed everyone connected to Greg Allman who rode the Princess Voyager. Cruise ships should be joyful places, but by now, I have to admit Iâm no stranger to seeing the dark side of these vessels. And, after listening to their accounts, I was no closer to understanding why Greg went overboard.

The Comedy of Nigerian Novelists
Janitor Tobe Adeoyo trudged through the dimly lit halls of 50 East 34th Street. The clock had just struck 8 pm, and he proceeded wearily from office to office, ready to clean any mess left behind by the editors, sub-editors, publicists, and literary agents of New Yorkâs publishing community.

Feeling Proud On Father's Day: A Nocturnal Man's Journey To Accept His Father
The arrival of my son on a Saturday night two years ago was a turning point in my life. An event that made me look back at my own childhood in small town Wisconsin and reexamine my relationship with my own father.

Days Like These
Note:First draft, any suggestions would be a great help! Inspired by the tragic story of Matthew Trickett. I jolt upright in bed. The acidic stench of cold sweat fills my nostrils, and the sheets stick to my skin. Rolling over, I look at my mobile. No messages. 3:04 am. Since returning home, I have been waking up with the same dream almost every night.

A Gen-Z Hamster Who Doesn't Vote Angers Its Owners
âI'm not voting. The election doesn't affect me.â How often do we hear this from young people? Their political apathy is especially grating for voters who have been on the edge of our seats every day for the last 16 years since Obama was elected.

Tennis At Mar-a-Lago
Ayesha was ambitious, good at school, and now had a real job. When her mom asked her to keep an eye on Dad, the pint-sized first-grader took the assignment to heart. Later that afternoon, on hearing noises in her dadâs study, she tiptoed to the door. The wood felt rough as she pressed her ear against it. Her heart raced in anticipation. From TV, she knew parents usually take drugs or kiss other people behind closed doors.
