Here Comes Santa's Clause. Top Story - November 2024.
Making a list? Checking it twice? Old Saint Nick has sent a memo to several social media platforms wanting acknowledgement. Apparently he has updated his To Do and Not To Do lists. It's obvious he is hooked on updating his image, reshaping his game and considering shaving his beard of all things. Of course there's more to every story and I have been shovelled the task of investigating his identity crisis. Like I have nothing better to do than catch a flight up to the North Pole with two lame knees and a peanut allergy.

Old Enough; Through the Eyes of a Stranger
After kicking off his boots Hank rubbed his calloused feet, despite them being swollen and blistered with open sores he'd come to feel comfortable enough in these parts to catch some shut eye. Perhaps here he would find some time to heal. He tossed his knapsack on the ground, then pushing through dried thicket with one gloved hand, he settled in a shady spot. He was hungry enough to catch a mouse; his mind wandered to the little girl May and her popping by this very place several times with a piece of bread or an apple. He hated himself for wishing her there just cause his stomach ached, he knew darned well kids like her should not be wandering about on their own near the edges of train tracks, much less familiarizing themselves with the likes of homeless, jobless and down on their luck men like himself. He knew he could be trustworthy, however God knows that most train jumpers aren't.

First Book Blues
My first novel, Tea With Nanny , was self-published in 2017 on Amazon: it originated from a creative writing course in college in 1985. Although I had wonderful relationships with both of my grandmothers, my paternal grandmother, "Nanny" and grandfather- "Paw-Paw", (by her second marriage, never really knew my biological grandfather) held a considerably significant influence in my childhood, thus the photo of Nanny as a young woman on the cover.

Dear Daughter
Hi Boo, (Mushy Warning) Thoughts of you were alive and breathing before you were ever born, before I ever met you: our love was conceived in fate. I did not know when you would arrive or how you would become part of my life, yet I had a deep notion that your special soul would enter my world somehow, someday.
