10. I click the submit button and the research paper goes through. All with 15 minutes to spare. Now I gotta wait until the morning to see if my grade went up. I get to school the next day and Ms. Nick is ecstatic. As if she is ready to explode with happiness.

7. This old hag didn’t even give us the time of the day. She just kept it pushing all the way up to the cash register. We watched as she buys the dictionary. What does an old lady need with a dictionary anyways. I can’t take no for an answer. I got to get this book up off her.

6. Maria tags along with me. I’m headed to the store in search of a dictionary. We arrive at the dollar store because they have everything. Maria and I split up. Couldn’t find anything staying in one spot. After about 5 minutes, I hear Maria shout from across the store.

2. Soon as the bell rang, I was out those doors. Speeding down the school roads. I had to get home and start this paper already. The grading period ends tomorrow. And the topic Ms. Nick gave me wasn't that complex. I figured the quicker I start, the quicker I finish. Mom knows a lot too. She’s also an English teacher. As much as she offered, I couldn’t take her help. She still made me snacks. That way I could focus. W Dukes across-the-board. I took my grub and sat down at my desk so I can finally get started.

3. Once I get myself comfortable, I open my laptop and start trying to find some good websites to use. I gotta do a paper on one of the presidents. I forgot which one though. I think it was Hayes. Anyways, after a while sitting there scrolling through tabs, I started to make progress. It sucks that my attention span is so low. I lose focus way too easily. But no worries, Mom is bringing me some more snacks. And then maybe I'll lock in. Starting to look on the up and up. Let me lock in and get started.

4. Alright, the grub hit different. Now it’s time to focus. I found out about two websites that would be great for my research paper. I took some notes of things I found interesting. So much info on just one site. But I need an extra site to cheat off of. Just in case the first one was too good to be true. I took more notes and then Mom read over them. Just to make sure they were valid. Yea, so far so good. But then she stopped abruptly.

5. This word is so peculiar. I have no idea what it means. Let me look it up real quick on my computer. Maybe I can find the definition on the internet. And the moment I said that, literally while I was in the midst of typing the word into the search bar, the screen switch to the dreaded 'No Internet' screen. The internet went out. Just my luck. Looks like I need to find a dictionary to look what that word means. I actually searched all around the house and I couldn’t find one. Time for a store run.

9. Just when I think I’ve reached my untimely demise, I see the dudes crew start dropping like flies. As I’m paying attention to all the commotion going on, I feel a pain in my jaw. Then everything goes black. For like a minute, then I regained my consciousness.

10. Ronny Booker saved the day. Something that I wasn’t expecting. He brought a ray blaster into the party with him. He just started spraying at the dude's small little crew until one after the other just drop down like flies. Right after I got punched, we picked up Quan and Rita and we got up out of there.
