Soon as the bell rang, I was out those doors. Speeding down the school roads. I had to get home and start this paper already. The grading period ends tomorrow. And the topic Ms. Nick gave me wasn't that complex. I figured the quicker I start, the quicker I finish. Mom knows a lot too. She’s also an English teacher. As much as she offered, I couldn’t take her help. She still made me snacks. That way I could focus. W Dukes across-the-board. I took my grub and sat down at my desk so I can finally get started.

3. Once I get myself comfortable, I open my laptop and start trying to find some good websites to use. I gotta do a paper on one of the presidents. I forgot which one though. I think it was Hayes. Anyways, after a while sitting there scrolling through tabs, I started to make progress. It sucks that my attention span is so low. I lose focus way too easily. But no worries, Mom is bringing me some more snacks. And then maybe I'll lock in. Starting to look on the up and up. Let me lock in and get started.
