10. she flipped my card to yellow instead of blue. on a scale of best to worst, the colors were green, yellow, blue, orange, and red. my teacher had initially threatened me with the blue card flip, but her oh-so-kind generosity only left me with yellow. I didn’t know how to explain this to my dad. I had been on a green streak all month. he'd definitely flip out over this and she added a note trying to egg it. my dad would never take my side. it was always a teacher's word over mine. goodbye to all of my privileges this weekend.

5. 10 minutes left of me pretending like the reading is so interesting. and I don’t gotta worry about that summary. I got Gerald to do it for me the teacher was even keeping an eye on us, so cheating in our class was the easiest thing in the world. We turned in our work and started packing up for recess. been waiting for this ever since I was stepped on the bus this morning. Ronnie is one of my good friends from school. me and him get the soccer ball off the cart and go start up a game. Thank you lord.

4. The moment we walked in the door of our classroom, my teacher started telling us to get out our textbooks. Her voice was beyond annoying. I must have done something terrible to have to start my day with her every day. It’s literally the worst punishment in America. I’m probably over-exaggerating. We have to read chapter 4 of our textbooks and write a short summary. I promise you that I couldn’t be less interested in reading. I only came to school for lunch and recess. Everything else, I’m mentally not there for it. Just an hour left until some sunshine.

3. The bus ride every day is pretty much the same. We hit the four more stops around town before actually heading to the school. It’s too early to be there joking and playing around. I usually can be caught catching a few extra Z‘s before I’m forced to sign my life away for the day. We get to the bane of my existence and the first thing Jill and I do is go get breakfast. Some days, breakfast is bomb and some days it’s terrible. It’s really hit or miss today. It was all right. Let me throw away my trash so I can head to the homeroom.

1. When you’re having a good night's sleep, the last thing you want to hear is your dad telling you it was time for school. Well at least that’s the case for me. My dad was pounding on the door so loud I thought he was breaking it down. He was a heavy handed guy. Regardless, it’s too early for all that. But of course I got up and started getting ready. As much as I hated it, I never really questioned the daily school routine. Took a shower, brushed my teeth, and put my clothes on. I really wanna go back to sleep.

2. I gave my mom a kiss and then walked to the bus stop. The bus stop isn’t that far from my house, but it is still a little walk. The sun was just coming up in the distance so the sky had that mid dark mid light look to it. There were the two other kids from my neighborhood who would wait at the bus stop with me. Jenni and Jill. They were sisters. Jill was in my grade. The bus pulled up after 10 minutes. Let’s get this show on the road. I would much rather be in bed right now.

10. The police came and got the snow rocker. I’m so glad the little bro is doing okay. that was such a scary experience. Cratey Park did not come off as the place that would have kidnapping snow rockers. Mom got Maria’s family contact info so we could go over to their house. She didn’t want us playing at the park anymore. Nor did Marie’s parents with their kids. which was understandable. I wouldn’t want my kids playing there either. the type of stuff that goes on the Motela is crazy. But that event was just the tip of the iceberg.

9. Still screaming for some help, the snow rocker is continuing to choke little bro. and he’s threatening to do bad things to him. basically holding him for ransom. the snow rocker was trying to negotiate a price for little bro’s freedom. obviously we weren’t about to pay him jack squat. the kids dad’s snuck up behind the snow rocker. The snow rocker was too focused on everything happening in front of him, he had no idea what was in store for him. The kid’s dad punched the snow rocker and knocked him out cold. Little bro finally free. hooray!

8. The only reason I found him was because he was screaming at the top of his lungs. he was hiding by the picnic tables. one of the rocky snow users got a hold of him. out of all the places he chose to hide, he chose the one place we weren’t supposed to be playing. the snow rocker was holding bro in the head lock. this is getting scary now. I need to find a way to get bro out of this situation. I started screaming as well. anything to alert the closest adult for help. this was only over buddy.

7. After I was done counting, I started my rigorous search for everyone. It wasn’t long until I found Maria. She was hiding in the slide on the play-set. She wasn’t too happy about that. She even went to the extent of accusing me of cheating. I knew she was just being bitter, so I didn’t take any offense to it. Maria’s brother was the last one still hiding. For the love of me, I couldn’t find him. Nor did I have no idea where he could be. But little did I know, he was hiding in the spot that none of us expected. The place we were forbidden from playing.

6. We pulled up to the park. It was the same hustle and bustle that it usually was. Just a lot of people in one area. Me and my brother got out of the car and bolted over to the playground. We had to see if our friends were back. Low and behold, there they were on the swings. Almost as if they were waiting for us. We all agreed to play hide and seek. I was "it" so I closed my eyes and began to count. backwards from 30 should be enough time for them to find a hiding spot.

5. And of course she said yes the next day. We went out to eat for Sunday dinner though. Even though I hated going to church, the food afterwards was worth it. And it was better to eat a lot of food and then go burn all of it off by running around the park and playing. I don’t even care about this part of the story. This is really a filler part so I can get through the story. Anyways, we ended up driving over to the park after we were done eating. Time to see if the kids are back to play.
