the roots of the selfie go back further than this we have been making things that resemble ourselves in whole or in part intentionally or not for as long as there's been cause and effect just looking into a pool of water creates a kind of selfie A Primitive ephemeral one that you can't preserve or send to anyone but it is undeniably an image of the self made by the self even the earliest life forms on Earth were capable to some degree of self-discrimination they could differentiate themselves from the environment around them they have inside them in some chemical form a crude pre-conscious evidence of her death in 1918 wasn't uncovered until 2007. although her work was cut short she pioneered the use of Photography as a social behavior as a way to communicate not just commemorate she has been called the Kardashian of her day but despite her influence she was more of a trendsetter for hairstyles than photography she didn't usher in a worldwide shift in Behavior where young people everywhere started taking selfies camera manufacturers didn't rush to make self-portraiture easier and articles weren't written about how great or how scary it was that young people were taking photo diary and photo booth use among young people in Japan but hero mix's sudden Fame amongst teenagers and the educated Elite made the practice a thing suddenly young people all over Japan wanted to be like her the New York Times called it hero mix syndrome increased demand for cameras that made self-portraiture and proto-instagramming easier LED camera manufacturers to speed up the release of features that served immediate frequent photography hero mix took a lot of photos tens of thousands and her work generated polarized reactions some critics adored her While others found it all baffled now by the time selfies were called selfies the same debate was started again but it was a about the behavior hero mix had brought into focus more than a decade before you know it's hard to say who took the first selfie but in my opinion hero mix took the first selfie selfie her work hastened and christened the arrival of the fourth wave selfie the selfie as we know it today now if it hadn't been her it would have been someone else people love looking at themselves and it was becoming easier and easier to do so but hero mix popularized taking pictures of yourself as a social sharing also be words from today like selfie that barge back into the past like calling these medieval Church singers the first boy band nailing down the definition of a selfie in the modern sense is tricky of course does a selfie need to be a photograph if not why if so do I need to be holding the camera does the use of a timer or a drone I'm not even touching mean that it's not a selfie or just a different kind of selfie are humans a selfie since God made us in His image because of questions like that I prefer what I've been doing in this video just allow a selfie to mean anything that something has made that resembles itself or part of itself that covers a lot of stuff but can be broken down into four waves first wave selfies are unintentional the second wave began with the first deliberate depictions of oneself the third with photography's promise of recognizable self-depictions that were significantly more accessible the fourth wave is when selfies became a thing a cultural phenomenon motivated by a desire not just to have images but to be images throughout the 20th century especially we found ourselves increasingly surrounded by images news and travels and products and stories the entire world outside our head could be seen like never before not in person but through images in the midst of this image world was the human animal an organism that got to look at images but wasn't one which was too bad because to be an image was to be something well selfies gave us that power they put it in our own hands photography allows more of us than ever before to delay the third death but the fourth wave selfie flattens the boundaries of time and space now we can be anywhere whenever does my face need to be depicted for it to be a selfie well in October of 2013 Kim Kardashian posted this image on Instagram within a month belfie had been added to the Urban Dictionary a belfie is a selfie of your butt but selfie selfie belfie guides and histories and even a belfie stick soon followed and this all raises a serious question about Society if a selfie of your butt is called a belfie shouldn't a selfie of your face be called a filthy

drastically picked up speed the pair had originally wanted to follow the UFO but later abandoned the search after it suddenly turned and began to hurtle towards them when the footage emerged online commenters were quick to point out that it looked like just another runaway balloon or random piece of debris however artiga was adamant that at the height he was flying it was too cold for a balloon to survive and it didn't appear to be a drone or an airplane and was totally different to anything he'd seen before the recording caught the attention of controversial ufologist Jamie morson the Mexican journalist who promoted claims of supposed alien remains in Peru that have turned out to be hoaxes despite this araga sat down with musen to discuss what he saw and told him that the object moved with something totally unknown without means of propulsion with movement that he considered as intelligent Moren later claimed it was the greatest UAP evidence of all time it's a bold claim and balloons they were not tied together they moved away from each other then back together as if in formation and they remained in the area for over an hour they were also very bright as they had been illuminated from inside the phenomenon prompted dozens of calls but City officials had no answers and not even the Federal Aviation Administration could explain the spectacle saying they were not weather balloons and were nothing they could account for despite the papers reporting wildly on the incident no explanation was ever offered adding to the mystery a former Air Force officer had predicted 4 months before the incident on a UFO website that an alien craft would visit major cities on October 13th saying the aliens will reveal themselves in a massive uniform display over our principal cities and I predict this will happen on October 13th 2010 the date of this incident as you know was October 13th 2010 so was this a coincidence did he have Insider information or was this a hoax and was he the one responsible UFO laser Tom Delong is best known as the co-founder co-lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Blink 182 but he also has a strong belief in UFOs and aliens something that has interested him since he was a child so when he posted this video to his Instagram account on February 4th 2023 with the caption enjoy they are real people took notice take a look at been created by a laser beam originating from the underside of a drone this Theory does gain credence particularly since 2013 was the pivotal year when drones transitioned from military exclusivity to being accessible to the general public however despite being plausible this explanation has never been formerly confirmed in connection to any of the reported sightings in truth these sightings have been largely ignored and not drawn much attention so until anything different is proposed these are unidentified flying objects Airborne phenomena that cannot be immediately identified or explained do you make of this extraordinary footage the best UFO photo in history we're now going to show you two similar photographs both captured in Wisconsin although taken four years apart the first reported sighting was shared online by an anonymous female witness who was visiting a friend in W wer to protect her friend's privacy she was reluctant to reveal the exact location but mentioned that it was to January 2007 again in Wisconsin but this time near Green Bay a very similar looking object was photographed and sent to the UFO evidence website there is very little information on either of these photographs and many have questioned the authenticity of both of them some believe that the photos have been manipulated using Photoshop and are fake although at that time you would have to be fairly skilled to manipulate an image in that way the other theory is that maybe a repelled object with lights attached was launched by whoever took the photo possibly a toy of some description similar to a Star Trek Enterprise model drones have also been mentioned but it's worth remembering that in 2007 only military drones were available and they do not look like military drones despite all of the theories the photographs haven't been completely debunked we'd love to know your thoughts on this one Philip Spencer's Alien Encounter and photograph ichy Moore located in Yorkshire England is a large Conservation Area and a popular destination for Walkers and tourists that offer breathtaking views of the Yorkshire Dales it is surrounded by fascinating stories of strange creatures and mysterious lights that appear in the fog and to add to the Intrigue it is near RAF men with Hill a top secret military base often referred to as the UK's area 51 a Strang looking facility that is protected by large 30t spheres designed to monitor any external threats given this context it's perhaps not surprising that the mo is the sight of one of the most extraordinary alien encounters in Great British arm as if it was waving and that was the moment Spencer pulled out his camera and took this Photograph shortly after the shot was taken the entity disappeared Spencer described the creature as having big black eyes pointed ears and strangely long arms with hoof-like feet split into two toes he tried to follow the creature hoping to find out what it was but unfortunately it moved out of sight but what he did see was a dome-shaped spacecraft that Rose from the mo and disappeared into the sky feeling slightly confused he continued on to his father-in-law's Village but when he arrived and saw the time on the church clock was 10:00 a.m. he realized that he had lost 2 hours somewhere on Route and had no idea why he questioned whether he had imagined the entire experience however his doubts were dispelled when he processed the photographs he had taken and saw the creature exactly as he remembered it the negative of the photograph was later examined by various experts who found no signs of tampering however the strangeness did not end there Spencer started experiencing odd but very real dreams in which he kept seeing a Starry Sky these were so vivid and constant that he was later advised to go into hypnosis to see if he could revisit what happened that day under hypnosis he recalled how the creature approached him just before he took the photograph he remembered it was quite windy and the creature which was green moved closer and closer to him he found himself Frozen to the spot unable to move then everything went fuzzy and he was floating in the air while the green creatures walked ahead of him he then saw a big silver sort of thing with a door on it that he doesn't want to go into then everything goes black he also remembered that he had been examined by the creatures inside the ship and they showed him a movie on a disaster that would occur if people did not stop population growth and pollution after that he was returned back to the moall with no memory of his abduction it's worth pointing out that Philip Spencer did not earn Fame and money from his story and he is one of the few abductees who showed evidence to prove his encounter we'd love to know history as lost divers have faced perilous retrieval efforts Jacobs Well in Texas looks like a calm 12T swimming hole inviting and refreshing yet What Lies Beneath is a treacherous sink hole leading to a hidden underwater cave system the dark secretive depths beneath the Placid water descend vertically for about 30 ft then continue downward at an angle through a series of silted Chambers separated by narrow restrictions finally reaching an average depth of 120 ft which is about the height of a ferris wheel despite its pretty appearance the well- claimed Nine Lives between the 1960s and the 1980s but some people speculate that the actual number could be higher this is why these dark secretive depths are still known as some of the most dangerous diving locations in the United States as we dive deeper into the Earth we find ourselves in vovnik cave in Georgia known for being the deepest cave in the world it is over 7,000 ft deep plunging into the unknown where there is a that can quickly turn into a scenario where you need to fight for survival When Storms and thunder hit the roar inside the cave is almost deafening and the water floods rise really fast when this happens explorers can not afford to wait they must find a way out immediately the thing is caves and storms together are a seriously dangerous mix take for example the event that occurred in 2018 that miners searching for gems or gold but later it was discovered that those strange marks were actually made by elephants that go inside and mine The Rock seeking its sodium Rich salts although it is organic molecules could be formed from simple inorganic compounds under conditions similar to those found on early Earth over time these simple organic molecules combined and evolved into more complex basically it suggests that deep under the ocean there are these hot vents where water heated by the Earth's core comes out these vents are full of minerals and chemicals that could have provided the perfect conditions for life to begin scientists think that the first living organisms could have started around these vents using chemicals and minerals to create energy over time these organisms evolved and spread out into other parts of the ocean the hydrothermal vent theory is still being studied and debated but it's an exciting idea that could help us understand how life began on our planet the last but not the least RNA World hypothesis this Theory suggests that that RNA AKA ribonucleic acid was the first self-replicating molecule that led to the evolution of life on Earth RNA is capable of both storing genetic information and catalyzing chemical reactions making it a possible precursor to DNA and proteins basically the name of this hypothesis is a fancy way of saying that life on Earth might have started with a molecule called RNA RNA is like a cousin to to DNA which is what makes up our genes scientists think that RNA might have been the first molecule that could make imagine you receive a doll as a gift and since that day weird things started happening like hearing children crying and seeing objects fall for no reason this was a typical day for one family from Florida dolls are creepy in general because they lack emotions at least that's what scientists say if you've ever had one you might know that feeling as if the doll is watching you luckily usually nothing more happens but this was not not the case with Robert the dull this story started in the third most haunted city in the US Key West Florida there are so many haunted houses in that place that seeing ghosts is normal for the residents I don't know if this is true but I would not want to live there to find out and still all those ghosts are no match for Robert the Doll a boy named Robert Eugene Otto received a doll as a gift from his grandfather the doll was made in Germany in 194 by a company producing expensive and weird toys all their dolls gave off a creepy Vibe when you looked at them the boy loved the doll and they became Inseparable their connection was so strong that Robert gave up his first name and gave it to the doll since then the boy has been called Otto by his last name Otto did everything with the doll it was truly his best friend they were playing all day together the the doll was as big as a child so Otto gave his favorite sailor outfit to Robert nothing good lasts forever and their friendship with Robert ended Otto blamed Robert for a very bad thing that happened in the house like glass falling doors randomly opening and other unusual things but of course the parents were not buying the story one night the parents heard loud screams coming from Otto's room and immediately rushed in they saw Otto holding Robert by the neck to stop him from moving and trashing the room on another occasion Otto woke up and saw Robert sitting on the bed Furniture moved books fell toys were ruined the scene was like a horror movie the parents woke up and thought they were getting robbed because of the screams and the loud noises coming from Otto's room when they entered they were shocked to find Otto hiding in a corner with a terrifying expression on his face face and Robert the Doll sitting peacefully on the bed like nothing had happened from then on things worsened a lot and there was more and more Paranormal Activity Otto was hypnotized by the doll and started treating it like a regular person spending hours speaking to it they were talking all the time the parents became concerned because when they heard sounds coming from the room they would enter and ask Otto who he was speaking to and he would point to Robert sometimes this crazy doll would get angry and throw things around and when the parents enter the room everything would calm down it Robert was sitting on the window with some toys in his lap the plumber left the room feeling on edge after some time he heard some commotion coming from the room he rushed to see what had happened the toys that had previously been on Robert's lap were thrown into the middle of the room the plumber didn't know what to think of this weird [Music] situation when Otto grew up he moved to New York and Chicago to study art later on he went on a trip to Paris where he met a girl whom he married later Otto didn't remember about Robert until he and his wife moved back to the US and bought their own house Otto visited his parents to take some of his stuff back including Robert taking back the doll that used to haunt you as a kid was probably not the smartest thing to do when he returned home Otto placed Robert in the attic and decorated the room like a kids room he gave Robert toys to play with he would also visit and talk to him almost daily understandably his wife wasn't happy about Otto's Behavior he seemed to spend too much time with the doll and she was really creeped out by it his wife told him that he must do something about it and Otto had no choice but to lock the attic door this move made Robert angry so the doll despite being locked up would appear in other rooms in the house some people said that when they passed by the house they saw the doll's glass eyes follow their movement others reported seeing the doll in one window and the next second Robert would move to another spot but as always Robert's favorite place was the upstairs window facing the road he would sit there like he did years ago and wait for auto Robert didn't like having guests over he terrorized anyone who would enter the house when Otto and his wife invited guests Robert would move furniture and throw objects around the house this was not fun for the guests when they tried to sleep Robert would appear on their bed and watch them when all this happened Robert was still locked up but somehow he could teleport around the house like a ghost you might think that once Otto was gone Robert stopped his paranormal Behavior but you could not be more wrong Otto passed away in 1974 and Robert's curse the bedroom window was broken there were muddy Footprints all across the floor interestingly the room was otherwise need and organized the following day Kathy was arrested for fraud can you figure out why Kathy was convicted of fraud because the bedroom window was broken from the inside if someone had broken it from the outside there would have been glass pieces on the bedroom floor also the room simple the man and the woman are getting married and the food thrown at them is rice five people are sitting around a table playing mafia among them there are two innocent citizens two mafiosos and one detective the mafia people know each other the detective knows who each of them is and the innocent people have no information whatsoever ever about anyone at the table during this particular game the innocent citizens and the detective always tell the truth while the mafia people always lie they start by making the following statements one by one a I know who B is B I know who the detective is C I know who B is D I know who e is can you figure out who is who let's try to crack this riddle step by step person a is making an I know statement meaning that they're either a detective or a mafioso not an innocent citizen if they were the detective they would know who B is a mafia member or an innocent person B could not be innocent because then they wouldn't know whether a was lying or Our Universe Has Scars, and They Might Unlock Time Travel
guess what the universe can get actual scars just like when you fall off a bike well here's why before the Big Bang the universe was extremely hot dense and full of energy and it seemed like everything was going well until that all changed about 13.8 billion years ago then the universe exploded after the blast it expanded incredibly quickly our human brain can't even perceive how fast that expansion was sometime later the universe started cooling down as it did giant terrifying scars cutting through SpaceTime appeared all over the place and if we study these scars well we can even get insight into time travel these days we call these scars cosmic strings they're like stretch marks that appear when the skin expands too quickly or we could also compare them to cracks that form in the ice when it freezes these strings are likely very thin about the size of a proton a positively charged subatomic particle yes subatomic means smaller than an atom the strings are also extremely dense and can stretch for light years now imagine these Cosmic scars floating through space not interacting much with their surroundings when two cosmic strings pass each other they could warp SpaceTime in such a way that it creates a time machine if you were to travel along a certain path around these strings you would end up returning to your starting point at an earlier time which is traveling back in time now let's admit it this idea sounds like something from science fiction but it's supported by Cosmic string theory and the math behind it seems to work unfortunately no one has observed cosmic strings yet so for now it's still a theory in 1991 one physicist proposed an idea for how cosmic strings could enable time travel if two two infinite cosmic strings pass each other in parallel they would warp space time creating a Time Loop this Loop would allow someone to travel back in time even better this idea doesn't contradict Einstein's theory of general relativity which suggests that large objects can bend space and time these bends in space time could allow a shortcut through time his now well-known concept of closed time Loops also helps explain how wormholes might work so a wormhole is basically a theoretical tunnel connecting one place in space to another some people believe that by using such tunnels we could create shortcuts for incredibly long Journeys through the universe which would allow us to visit other star systems and galaxies so let's say you manag to create a wormhole and even accelerate one of its ends to near the speed of light and then you send it back to where it came from well at that moment those two ends are not synced anymore one is in the past while the other is in the future and if you somehow manage to walk between them you'd be time traveling you could do something similar by placing one end of the Wormhole near a powerful gravitational field like a black hole and keeping the other side near a weaker gravitational force this way according to the theory of relativity time would pass more slowly nearer to the strong gravity side and it would allow a part or another chunk of Mass to remain in the past relative to the other side of the Wormhole at the same time if you decided to create a wormhole you'd have to keep in mind that they are super dangerous they might collapse all of a sudden they're likely to be highly radioactive or you could come into contact with toxic exotic matter inside but let's get back to the math behind the cosmic string time machine idea admittedly it is solid but it doesn't mean such a Time machine is possible yet to use this way of time travel we'd need to reach near light speed and it might be impossible according to Einstein's relativity the faster an object travels the more energy it needs to continue speeding up in other words we don't yet have the technology or energy sources to accelerate a spacecraft to these speeds the idea of two infinite cosmic strings is also questionable because we can't create something something that's infinitely long so while this time travel model is mathematically sound the infinite nature of the strings would make this exact model impractical at the same time some scientists still believe that cosmic strings are a better possibility than most other models like wormholes in any case before we can start considering time travel we need to discover cosmic strings luckily there's a group of astronomers working to detect low frequency gravitational Waves by measuring signals from a type of star called a pulsar now pulsars send out regular pulses of radio waves and by measuring small changes in the timing of these pulses scientists can detect subtle shifts in space time those changes are caused by gravitational waves which are ripples in SpaceTime now so far we've only detected gravitational waves coming from black holes but in 2020 there was one strange signal that didn't look like it came from black holes it could be coming from cosmic strings and here we need to mention String Theory according to it the universe is made up of more than just the four dimensions of SpaceTime there are additional Dimensions that are hidden from us plus the basic building blocks of the universe aren't particles but tiny vibrating strings these strings can vibrate at different frequencies to create different fundamental particles these strings from String Theory could have stretched out during the early universe and become the very cosmic strings we've discussed in the coming years we might get more information about them from a space-based gravitational wave telescope called Lisa it's supposed to launch in 2035 but if the signals picked up in 2020 really came from cosmic strings it could mean a huge breakthrough in physics in this case String Theory would become the right framework for understanding the universe it would completely change the way we think about the building blocks of our reality on the other hand even if the signals don't turn out to be from cosmic strings this discovery would still be important it would give scientists more information on what Cosmic string signals might look like in the future and while we're not yet at the point of time travel the discovery of cosmic strings could take us one step closer to understanding the mysteries of the universe and maybe even the possibility of traveling through time now time travel is a popular theme in science fiction but in fact moving forward in time happens naturally right now you are traveling into the future at a steady rate of 1 second per second however scientists have discovered that this rate can change depending on speed and gravity Einstein's special theory of relativity explains that time slows down as an object moves faster the closer you get to the speed of light the more slowly time passes for you compared to someone who isn't moving at all the general theory of relativity adds another Factor Gravity the stronger the gravitational pull the more slowly time moves near massive objects such as the surface of a neutron star black hole or even Earth time runs more slowly than it does far away from these space objects if someone were to stay near the edge of a black hole where gravity is incredibly strong only a few hours might pass for them while thousands of years would go by for people on Earth if they returned they would have effectively traveled into the future this is a real and scientifically proven effect a real life example of time travel though on a tiny scale can be witnessed in space missions for example this Cosmonaut spent a total of 748 days aboard the space station Mir during three separate missions because was moving at high speeds relative to Earth it experienced time dilation as a result he aged hunds of a second less than had he stayed on the ground now this difference may seem tiny but it shows that time moves differently depending on speed and location but while traveling to the future is scientifically possible traveling to the past is much more complicated and controversial and leads to logical paradoxes imagine you throw a billiard ball into a time machine it travels to the past and collides with its earlier self this prevents the ball from ever entering the time machine in the first place a contradiction.
