Koblenz on the Rhine and Moselle Rivers
The town of Koblenz is located in a lovely, picturesque setting of the landscape of the Rhine and Moselland. This 2000-year-old town is surrounded by four low mountain ranges. There are many cultural monuments, historic buildings, and river promenades for strolling.

Public Art to Feast Your Eyes On
Europe England The Singing Ringing Tree is a ten-foot-tall sculpture located in the Pennine Hill range in Burnley, England. It was created to resemble the grace and shape of a real tree. This sculpture is a wind-powered sound sculpture. It was created by architects Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu. The sculpture is made of galvanized steel and when the wind blows through it a song is produced. It won the National Award of the Royal Institute of British Architects/RIBA in 2007.

The Scandals of Hollywood
A sad but true fact is that from its founding Los Angeles has had a bad reputation. That’s odd, isn’t it? It translates to being the City of Angels. Eastern newspapers promised immigrants that California offered sunshine, warm weather, easy living, and fortunes to be made in California’s gold fields. So they flocked to the West Coast to find poverty and death instead. A large number of them returned home.

Dead and Living in New York City
One of the most haunted buildings in New York City is located at Central Park West and 72nd Street. It is a well-known building named The Dakota and it was the home of former Beatle John Lennon. During his lifetime Lennon saw a UFO from the window of his apartment and in the long hallways the apparition of a woman he called "Crying Lady Ghost." Unfortunately, Lennon's spirit has joined this lady after his tragic murder outside of The Dakota.

The Art of Michelangelo
The Greatest Painter Italian sculptor, painter, architect, and poet of the High Renaissance Michelangelo has been looked upon as one of history’s greatest painters. Much of his artwork achievements have been considered the best examples of artwork during the Italian Renaissance. He grew up in Florence, Italy during the late 15th century. Putting school work aside he enjoyed religious artwork and went to churches to make copies of religious paintings. This made others aware of his great talent and he was awarded an artistic apprenticeship. Michelangelo must have been blessed by God for his religious artistry as he lived up to 88 years of age whereas many other artists have died much younger.

Manhattan on the Big Blue and Kansas Rivers
Kansas is bordered by Nebraska to the north; Missouri to the east; Oklahoma to the south; and Colorado to the west. The small city of Manhattan in northeast Kansas on the Big Blue and Kansas Rivers. It was founded in the 1850s as a "free state" town by settlers from New England Emigrant and Company. This city is home to Kansas State University.

The Hatchet Man
Summer after summer the campers had heard the same spooky stories and for some of them, they were losing their charm. For new campers, they were frightening and exciting. It was upon the suggestion of a counselor that the campers voted to take a trip to the town library to choose a book with ghost stories. They were eager to hear something they hadn’t heard before. However, it turned out that that summer they didn’t need any new stories. They were going to experience something very real and very frightening.
