If Misty Can Defy Odds and Break Barriers, so can you.
I was 14 years old when I started doing ballet. I was scared that I had started ‘late’, as most of the girls had probably danced before they could walk. So that was negative, number one. I was the only brown girl in the class of slim white girls. I experienced a majority of my teenage years in a small town of Newfoundland, Canada, just to give a little bit of context.

Ready, set, manifest...in 2021
Hmmm. So I'm not gonna even talk about 2020 - actually, you know what, it wasn't all that bad for me to be really honest. I got to spend lots of time with my family, which I'm sure not all of us got to do before the pandemic. I rediscovered visual art, something I 'never found the time for', like many others would say about a lot of things. And lastly, I found ways in which to be grateful for a lot in my life, and worked on myself..A LOT..because duh, I was hanging out with almost everyday. LOL.

10 things I have; discovered, thought about, done, saw + learned, during QUARANTINE.
1. Skin care routine. I've had bad skin as far as my teenage years. I've been on and off with different treatments. It also depends what food i consume daily. During quarantine, I've stuck consistently with one line of products, drank lots of water, and watched what I've ate, as well as working out frequently...and sleeping well. Slowly my skin's getting better and clearer. Thank you, skin care routines from Youtube.

Rediscovery of my passion: dance
When i was in high school, i had fallen in love. I had fallen in love with dance. I loved everything about it. I loved my dance classes. I loved dance shows. I did shows where I was the only one who put on a dance routine, amongst everyone else who was singing. in high school, my art classes became a way to manifest my bigger dreams. I didn’t know I was doing it, but I knew that’s where I wanted to be. I had three big dreams.
