Hmmm. So I'm not gonna even talk about 2020 - actually, you know what, it wasn't all that bad for me to be really honest. I got to spend lots of time with my family, which I'm sure not all of us got to do before the pandemic. I rediscovered visual art, something I 'never found the time for', like many others would say about a lot of things. And lastly, I found ways in which to be grateful for a lot in my life, and worked on myself..A LOT..because duh, I was hanging out with almost everyday. LOL.

So.. with the habits and routines, I've cultivated in the past year, I hope to take it further and work harder to make my goals bloom into fruition...Even if it happens to be Mid February already. So take what you like from this, and make it work for you. So here we go.

This year I have 3 goals on my vision board:

1. Become a full time artist.

2. Save LOTS of money.

3. Move out by the end of the year..with my partner.

1. Become a full time artist:

In some ways I do consider myself a full time artist. I work around the clock on art pieces, in my sketchbook, as well as putting in time to become a better dancer each day. However, I am still living with my parents, and working a part time restaurant job, sooo its not exactly the ideal environment to be cultivating and working, but it will do for now. I am in the works of creating art videos weekly, and I've never felt so inspired and available, to put in time and energy, into my purpose.

The key is routine. Finding a time to work and just work; no distractions, no phones, no messages, just inspiration and following impulses, and having fun. I act like this is my full-time job. Same thing with dancing daily.

The other key to this goal, is being grateful that I am ALREADY a full-time artist, and in my OWN space, where I am not worried about messing the couches, because their not mine, or worrying about waking up my little brother because I'm coming home late from work. IF you want something badly, pretend that it is already yours, and be grateful you have it and work toward it.

I credit the book, "The Secret", by Rhonda Byrne, for these manifestation techniques. Read it. IT will change your life. Step 1.

2. Save LOTS of money.

I feel extremely grateful that I still have a job - a part-time job that is - but it provides me money for now. However I remain to be grateful for the money I already have and constantly recieving.

Though this is my current reality, I feel like it doesn't have to be. My goal is to make money from being a full-time artist. I know, I know. From what we've been taught in society, art equals no money or no job or no roof over your head. But hey, you're talking to someone with a theatre degree and who has gotten paid for doing shows she's written, and selling art work she's put time and energy into, you tell me that's not a start to something big.

I feel like now more than ever is a good time to save money, or rather look at the relationship you have with money first. I highly recommend, "You Are A Badass At Making Money", by Jen Sincero. That's one of my favourite money books I've ever read on how to make money and the perceptions we have with money. It has changed how you treat money.

So my goal, is to save for a nice house, some for travel (as soon as its incredibly safe to do so again), and for my creative passions and livelihood.

Again super possible. Pretending like you have lots of cash laying around, has never been easier.

3. Move out by the end of the year.

I've always wanted a space that I can call my own. I've moved 5 different houses in my lifetime, over the span of my 23 years, so I've never felt like it was MY space. MY home. It felt restricted at times for expression. It sometimes felt like a house, and when it did start to feel like a home, we had to move again.

So, flashforward to now, age 23, I have the tools, to manifest and believe that I will get a home very soon with my partner. With the utmost conviction, I believe that it is already mine. So much so, that we've taken multiple drives to see the house that we want - or whichever house, the universe decides for us - and we pretend to call to it home.

I've written numerous journal entries describing the interior of our house, to the point of feeling the carpet, and hearing the coffee brew in the morning when I would wake up. So I do believe it's going to happen...soon.

Call me delusion, but Jim Carrey was too, as well as Russ, Lilly Singh, Trevor Noah, Michael Jackson... just to name a few.

....

So, it's never too late to start anything. Time is never an excuse. 2020 taught me that. Whatever you want in life, you can have it. And you deserve it. Everyone deserves and is worthy of all the abundance, wealth, love and gratitude in the world.
