The air is hot and heavy or cold and stiff. The sun is too hot and the nights are too cold. The birds don't sing the way they used too. The smiles of my favorite people don't warm my heart the way they used too. I don't feel the way I used too

Toxic love
I started my first job at 16, and I worked in fast food. 6 months into working I was told that we were getting a new manager from another store. All I knew about him was that his name was Drew and he was transferring over because of a gnarly breakup with anther manager. I had no idea that he would not only change my life, but change me as well.

Living In a Harsh World
I remember thinking to myself in middle school that I'd end up dead before I was 18. I was wrong, Obviously. However having that mindset made me lazy, I didn't try at anything. I didn't have good grades or a lot of friends because I genuinely thought that I wouldn't make it into adulthood, so what was the point in trying?
