Mental Health Adjacent: Podcast All About Mental Health
Here at anamesa, mental health is sooo important to us! A few months back I was scrolling through Instagram, looking up different mental health niche accounts to follow. I was in search of additional information, education, support resources, anything really that was related to mental health. I was so excited when I stumbled upon @mh.adjacent , an Instagram account dedicated to discussing mental health. Excitingly, they even have a podcast all about mental health as well!

NYFW 2020: BRAND A
Chances are, if you are a living and breathing human above the age of four (and maybe even younger), you know the fame and hype of New York Fashion Week. It’s the most stylish event that basically takes over the city, where the most prominent designers in fashion showcase their latest collection. I have always dreamed of attending one of these shows and being a part of the chaotic, unique experience. Luckily for me, I had the opportunity to attend a show during New York Fashion Week 2020.

Meet Dane & Stephanie, Twins Who Make an Unbeatable Duo
Dane and Stephanie, twin siblings who harmonize together angelically, might be familiar to you from this season of NBC’s “The Voice.” Recently, I got to ask them questions about themselves, their careers, and their love for what they do. Dane and Stephanie are twins from Bloomfield, New Jersey. They are cousins of mine, and I can remember participating alongside them in sports, talent shows, and musicals. Both Dane and Stephanie have always shown passion in what they do, and is clear to see when watching them sing together. You can watch them sing on their YouTube channel or Instagram (@daneandstephanie). If you haven’t started watching this season, you can tune in NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights to watch!

"I’ve always loved traveling. Ever since I was practically a baby, I’ve enjoyed going anywhere that would venture me into new adventures, opening myself to a world that might change my life forever. When I was a kid, I would say that geography is my favorite subject because I've always wanted to learn about this vast world out there and always dreamed about growing up traveling to these different countries around the world.

All About Scorpios
Scorpios are a water sign, ruled by Pluto and Mars. They are known to be assertive, dominant, and passionate people. Scorpios will search high and low to find the truth about things or to piece things together. They make great leaders, and are also extremely resourceful. Scorpios love to experience and express their emotions, but they manifest this much differently than the other water signs. Scorpios are also great secret keepers, and make for loyal partners and friends. They are known for being the most sensual sign, and often have a sultry aura to them. Because Pluto rules Scorpio, their demeanor is rather calm and collected. However, any Scorpio is also known to have a mysterious side to them.

The Agape Cause: Saving the Turtles and the World
The Agape Cause was started by Erica Meyler, of New Jersey, when her passion for the environment accidentally fueled a business idea. Erica speaks on starting The Agape Cause: "I actually came up with the idea by accident. I posted a story on Instagram as a joke when I bought some metal straws, poking fun at beauty gurus when they post swatches of their new products. I was really surprised that everyone took it seriously, but looking back it was because I was always trying to spread awareness about causes I cared about, especially centered around conservation and environmentalism. It was perfect how it fell into my lap, because I was always extremely frustrated with how I felt like these issues were out of my hands and I didn’t know how to help, but this was a great way. I think most people feel that way, so my main goal is to give people the tools they need to start getting involved and feel like their efforts matter. Thats why a percentage of the proceeds from each product will be donated to the cause it was inspired by!"

I started to feel like my generation didn't have a place a while back. I knew that I wasn't a millennial. I was born in '96, which in most cases edges me out of the generation altogether, although some argue that up to 1996 are technically millennials. Millennials are people who reached young adulthood during the early years of the 21st century (which, according to the internet, started in 2001). Considering the end of the 21st century isn’t until December 31st, 2100, then technically you would consider someone born in 1996 to reach young adulthood during the early years of the 21st century. However, I’ve never met anyone near my age who considers themselves a millennial.

A Thank You to All My Friends
To The One Who Has Always Been Family: Our families have known each other for a few years short of two decades, and have loved each other just as long. No matter where life takes us and our families, we will always share an unbreakable bond because along the way, our families became one. You are the first person to show me what unconditional love is from someone other than my parents, the first person to stick up for me, and the first girl I would ever call my best friend. My life is better because I have you in it and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Full Face Makeup Only Using Drugstore Products
I have always loved makeup. I used to have an obsession with it when I was younger, taking several trips to the mall every month just so I could wander around Sephora, MAC, and any other cosmetic store I came across. I would aimlessly walk around, swatching every foundation, lipstick, or eyeshadow that caught my attention. However, I quickly realized how expensive it is to use these brands consistently, especially when doing a casual, everyday look.

Each Time I Change the Story: Outgrown
I don’t remember our first interaction, but I do know we didn’t cross paths immediately, despite the small environment we belonged to. I remember thinking you had the build of a runner, tall and slender. Your eyes were darker than mine, and your legs were so long, they’d stretch up past my waist if we were side by side. You were always lingering after hours, entertaining whoever else was still around. You had a great sense of humor.
