Chasing Loot with Initiate Boss Materials
I’ve been revisiting Diablo 4 with a new mindset: turning every boss encounter into a step toward reliable loot. My aim was simple: stockpile Initiate Lair Boss materials so the loot chests finally become something more than a cosmetic tease. The journey began with the five Initiate bosses, each of them dropping a specific material that unlocks the first tier of treasure. Girgoire rewards Living Steel, the Beast in the Ice drops Distilled Fear, Echo of Varshan yields Malignant Heart, Lord Zir gives Exquisite Blood, and Urivar—yes, the DLC-only recruit—is a bit of a tease with Judicator’s Mask. Duriel and Andariel require Shard of Agony and Pincushioned Doll respectively, whilst the DLC adds Harbinger of Hatred with Abhorrent Heart. Belial, Lord of Lies stands apart as the apex among Initiates in the sense that his chest hinges on Betrayer’s Husk. It sounds like a lot to juggle,
