Frenzy Barbarian Fun Build for Season 10
Frenzy Barbarian Fun Build for Season 10

If you want a fresh and fun Barbarian build that’s not the usual leveling path, this Season 10 Frenzy build in Diablo 4 is definitely worth trying. It’s all about dashing through maps with your dual-wield weapons, smashing enemies left and right, and face-tanking damage that would instantly wipe out other classes. This build is easy to use and incredibly fun, and with a few gear tweaks, it can take you deep into Torment and Pit difficulty.
Normally, Frenzy alone isn’t enough to push far, but with the Season 10 Dual Threat Chaos Perk, you can hit enemies with multiple Basic Skills in a single attack. This makes Frenzy much more powerful. Before unlocking Dual Threat, I recommend combining Frenzy with Upheaval for solid damage.
Here’s how to set up your active skills:
Combat Frenzy (maxed): Frenzy is your damage core. With the Combat upgrade, you also gain damage resistance. If you’re playing on PC, bind Frenzy to your right mouse button or a hotkey so you just hold it down and your character attacks and moves automatically. It makes the gameplay really smooth.
Battle Lunging Strike (maxed): Lunging Strike is the highest base damage Barbarian Basic Skill. The Battle upgrade adds bleeding, which stacks more damage over time. Dual Threat also makes Frenzy lunge at targets, so you’re always moving forward aggressively.
Strategic Rallying Cry (level 1): Even though this build doesn’t spend Fury much while leveling, Rallying Cry offers an Unstoppable buff and Fortify for survivability, plus extra Fury to support your Aspects later.
Tactical Challenging Shout (maxed): This shout boosts survivability and taunts all nearby enemies. The Tactical upgrade increases Fury generation, making sure your skills are always ready.
Power War Cry (maxed): Your main damage steroid. War Cry massively increases DPS so you can one-shot smaller mobs and melt bosses fast, even on Penitent difficulty.
Supreme Wrath of the Berserker (level 1): Another powerful steroid that stacks on War Cry. Use it against bosses or long fights.
Passive Skills to Pick
I focus on these passives for survivability and damage as I level:
- Endless Fury
- Imposing Presence
- Belligerence
- Swiftness
- Aggressive Resistance
- Prolific Fury
- Pit Fighter
- No Mercy
- Thick Skin (partial)
- Defensive Stance
- Counteroffensive
- Duelist
- Heavy Hitter (partial)
- Unconstrained (Capstone)
Unconstrained is ideal here because you’re almost always Berserk and don’t spend Fury or swap weapons often. It keeps your damage uptime high.
Weapon and Arsenal Tips
For this build, 1H Swords work best since Frenzy’s fast attack speed benefits greatly from crits. For your level 15 Expertise, use a Polearm for extra Lucky Hit Chance which supports certain Chaos Powers and gear effects. The Rank 10 Polearm bonus also boosts damage while you’re healthy.
Equip a Polearm as your Slashing Weapon, and level that Expertise by using Lunging Strike. Always pick an Arsenal Expertise bonus different from the weapons you wield to maximize its effect.
Core Chaos Powers and Strategies
Dual Threat and Deafening Chorus are the backbone of this build. Without them, the build won’t work as intended. I recommend playing on Normal difficulty first, using Frenzy with Upheaval until Dual Threat unlocks. Then, farm Viz-Jaq'taar Veneration to get Deafening Chorus.
With Deafening Chorus and all three Barbarian Shouts active, you gain:
- Permanent Berserk mode
- Lifelong damage boosts
- Constant Fortify
- Always Unstoppable
- Around 66% damage reduction
- Taunt on all nearby enemies every second
Add Accelerating Chaos to reduce Wrath of the Berserker’s cooldown with Lucky Hits, and at Torment difficulty, pick up Chaos Unleashed for even more Chaotic Bursts Diablo 4 gold.
Gear and Stat Priorities
This build relies mainly on boosting Frenzy’s effectiveness. Prioritize gear bonuses for:
- Basic Skill Damage
- Physical Damage
- Critical Strike Chance and Damage
- Attack Speed
- Lucky Hit Chance and Life Restoration on Hit
- Defenses (Armor, Life, Resistances)
- Movement Speed
Stacking Basic Skill Damage lets you breeze through Penitent difficulty. On Torment, focus more on Critical Strike Damage Diablo 4 Items.
Since Frenzy uses only your dual-wield weapons, upgrade your 1H weapons regularly. You don’t need to swap 2H weapons as often, so you get lasting value from their Aspects.
