Signed and Resigned
I just need enough to be solvent, but that may be hard without rescinding this letter and sacrificing my sanity To those reading my resignation while casually pushing policies that are supposed to impact our work culture, but they never do, I hope you find this letter. I seriously hope that after finding this letter you read it too.

Visibility as Hidden Cost
Think you’re more productive in the office? Research suggests otherwise. You’re likely gaining visibility just by showing up and appearing busy. However, this unspoken performance expectation often pushes your actual work to after-hours, leaving you catching up at home.

When performance is measured against curated feed of perfection
Have you been to a performance review that inevitably ends up comparing you to popular Joe, charismatic Jackie or high performing Jack? Most formal performance reviews have sections where employees are compared sideways against peers within and outside their departments. Definition of a “peer” here is largely determined by a line manager who is assumed to have the power of veto to be able to understand the term, its correct application and most importantly the ramifications of its misuse. The review fails to appreciate that the line manager is just another fallible human being with no previous “human psychology” training.

The Centaur of the Centaur
Automating your processes? Hallucinating AI is a terrible co-pilot. It is an "automation blindness" that lead to screening officers meticulously spotting every harmless shampoo bottle on X-rays, while missing nearly every gun and bomb smuggled through their checkpoints.

The Case for Real-World Leadership
I see numerous ads on leadership and promoting leadership through uptake of schooling. There are degrees that focus specifically on honing one’s leaderships skills. This begs the natural question of can you build a leader based entirely on theory?

Name Discrimination in Hiring:

Poor Mindset
In her frustrated speech Senator Mehreen Faruqi states that there should be no billionaires in Australia and that having 150 of them is directly related to incremental unfavorable changes in statistical representation of the percentage of the Australian population living below the poverty line. In other words, the 150 of them are the reason why the country is getting poorer not the government itself that runs policies and administers the states that see poor stay poor.

Superficial relationships
Ever felt like your professional network is nothing more than a surface-level handshake and a LinkedIn request? Did you come to realize this after you tried to reach out to someone to use "that networking power" or before? Don’t worry—you’re not alone.

The Unspoken Truth About Job Interviews
Hiring Manager: “I can be somewhat narcissistic, but it's a trait that has contributed to the success in my current position. I tend to criticize others and shift blame for circumstances beyond their control. I often enlist HR's help to attribute my shortcomings to my subordinates”

The Theory of "Relativity"
I am with my friend from UK. As a recent migrant he copped firsthand the wrong end of the Australian traffic management stick. He lost 12 points of the 13 available in one day. He simply did not realize we had a thing called "double demerits" that we could switch on and off when it suited us, and that traffic signs were subject to change. He drove on the same road twice using the same speed limit he was familiar with not paying attention to the "bran neau" sign during Easter Break.
