Weekend Burnout
Today has been one of those days. Every little thing that hasn’t gone according to plan has felt so much bigger than it should. On days like this even the simplest of tasks feels unachievable and all I want to do is wallow. Cue a day of mindlessly scrolling on social media instead of doing anything productive.

Loosing Yourself To Motherhood
One of the ultimate joys as a mother is getting to see the little people that you created and nurtured develop their own sense of self and independence. You give them everything of yourself in the hope they will grow up into well rounded, decent people. For me, it is an honour to have the chance to do this and I fully appreciate just how lucky I am that I have this opportunity.

Getting Ready for School
I can’t quite believe that the time for my little baby boy to start school is here. September 2021 is the month when I lose my free weekdays with him. I won’t lie, there have been times when I have prayed for these days to come. But, now that they are almost here I can feel my anxiety creeping higher and higher. Of course he was always going to start school, that was inevitable but how did it come around so quickly? I digress.

Start a Meditation Routine
Do you like the idea of meditation for your personal health and wellbeing? I can honestly say it has completely changed my life and it can do the same for you. I personally started meditation after I had a miscarriage and then fell pregnant for the second time. I was so anxious going into that second pregnancy that I needed a way to calm myself. My son will turn five this year and since I’ve started I have tried to complete at least ten minutes a day.

5 Thing I Learned When My Daughter Started School
Heading into the last term of reception year, I am reflecting on how much I have learnt personally as a mother of a school starter. It has no doubt been an unusual year and with the mix of in-school learning and at-home learning it has given me an insight into what the first year of school entails. This time last year I was so nervous about what to expect. I had her school uniform ordered the minute I knew which school she would be attending. I was making sure she knew her ABC’s and checking how far she could count. I tried my hardest to prepare my 4 year old for a completely new experience. What I hadn’t prepared for was what I was about to learn. Here are 5 things that I learnt when my daughter started school.
