Lost
My entry into the Vocal "Christopher Paolini's Fantasy Fiction Challenge" He had been told so many times not to stray and to stay close, but he succumbed to temptation easily and was always wandering to explore and follow paths that were not marked. He had seen a creature, he wasn’t too sure what it was but wanted to know, so ignored what his family had told him and stalked the creature deeper and deeper into the forest.

There But For Fortune
Introduction The words of the Phil Ochs song resonated with me because of what happened today. Today was an unusual day for me, I had to go into town and meet with work colleagues for an all-day conference. Although the weather was not good I decided to walk the three miles into town and took a route along the West Road in Newcastle.

Please
Introduction This is a not completely positive poem which is unusual for me about the number of times I am asked to support people in various ways such as following pages or reading articles, which I often do, but when I ask for reciprocity it’s absolute tumbleweed time. Very often I will buy things and not even get an automated thank you. Then I get more from them and this time I just don’t respond.

Li’l Beethoven By Sparks
Introduction Yes, this is an album review, although the digital deluxe version of this has three more songs than the beautifully packaged book CD that I originally bought. It is an album that I play quite often but is not a rock album and is more like some classical or musical-based format. This sees a move into a more classical-influenced sound, with a heavy reliance on repetitive lyrics and piano lines, synthesized orchestration and multi-tracked vocals in place of percussion.
