Strangely Groovy
Introduction In the story below Caroline Jane did an Oliver Twist and asked for more. This is it. I wasn't to sure how to write something new and interesting about music. Caroline and I are fans of Nigel Blackwell and Half Man Half Biscuit, so I will try to include something from them in here but I hope that everyone discovers at least one thing they didn't know when they read this piece.

A Playlist Of My Birthday Number Ones
Introduction I was born in 1957 and the number one single at the time was the awful "Diana" by Paul Anka. Either side of that was "All Shook Up" by Elvis Presley and "That'll Be The Day" by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, both brilliant records but we have to start with that awful dirge.

Introduction A few weeks ago I bought a vinyl copy of "Ra" by Todd Rundgren's Utopia from RPM in Newcastle. I was looking for a version with the cut-out pyramid and this had it for the price of only ยฃ3. The guy got out his card machine and I tapped, and the payment failed, I tapped and tried again and it failed. After the third time, I said I would go to a cash point and draw some money out and just pay in cash.
