Black Coffee, Cherry Tomatoes And A Meniscus Tear
Introduction I have a feeling that if I had been born ten or twenty years earlier, or in the USA, I would be dead by now. When I was diagnosed with Liver Cancer, a lot of American friends advised me to get second and third opinions, and I told them I was in the best place in the world to get treatment, so I didn't need to go anywhere else. You can read about that here:

My Body Is Trying To Kill Me
Introduction I know the title is clickbait, but I do feel at times my body does make life difficult for me. Each morning, I wake up, and my initial blood sugar readings are fine, and then suddenly they jump, even though I haven't eaten or drunk anything.

One Down .. Millions To Go
Introduction This was where I was in 2017, doing a million steps every three months. That is probably still true today, although I have reduced my daily target to seven thousand steps. That may sound odd, but I believe it is always best to set achievable targets because when you hit them, it feels good, and when you surpass them, it feels better. The targets have also got to be meaningful, to sum people it might be walking up a flight of stairs, or even just getting out of bed.

There IS Always Good
Introduction This is a Seven Days In post from May 2015, after I had been diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver (which eventually led to Liver Cancer), but it did show me a lot of positives. You can see that in 2015, I found positives as I still do today, ten years later.

Careful, Or I'll Include You In My Next Novel. Content Warning.
Introduction Yesterday I had another day in the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, I won't say why though my close friends know (the thing is if I don't have it done there may be issues later), but there were some good encounters though things did not go exactly as expected.

Sugar Bombed
Introduction I am diabetic and tomorrow I have an important operation and to that end I need my blood sugar to be in a very good place. Earlier in the year I started monitoring it 24/7 and I was very dubious about it, but it has been an absolute godsend and I now wouldn't be without it. Here is that story.

I Am Diabetic And Can Eat As Much Chocolate As I Want. Content Warning.
Introduction I know the title is clickbait, but does have an element of truth to it. This si a follow-on to my piece on how I felt when getting my new blood-sugar monitor, and this was the week I had to do my first removal and replacement of the device.

Fighting Fitness. Content Warning.
Introduction I am writing this from a position of reasonable healthiness and fitness, but I have not always been that way, in fact only in the last ten years have I really started to realise what an unfit lard bucket I really am.

No Fun In An MRI Scanner. Content Warning.
Introduction I am mildly claustrophobic. I don't like being in close enclosed spaces, especially if I do not have a way out. Due to my health issues and the fact that we still have a brilliant National Health Service, I am now having an MRI Scan every three to six months.

Paracetemol
Introduction This is probably one of the most difficult pieces that I have tackled for a Vocal story. The reason being that there is so much information online about the drug and its variants, so can I actually tell you any more and keep you interested?
