A Night at the Children's Library
There is another library that I work the night shift. It is at the local children's library. At this library the night shift librarian has a few other big/little chores to do other than reshelving books. That is still the first chore that I do though reshelve the regular books before moving on to rewinding some movie and cartoon tapes for there are some old VHS cassettes and also making sure the DVDs are in the correct holders. The next chore is to pick up any toys that seem to be laying around in the stacks that the kids or their parents forget to put back and to wipe and satanize the other toys like the blocks, etc.

Another Night at the Library
Working for two libraries usually during the night shift is for some a lonely time to work such a job, but for me it's a chance to work and do something that makes me feel good about myself. There was a night not so long ago at another library where I kept hearing the phrase 'Read the Book." "Read the book." so at the end of the shift the voice or more of a whisper lead me to a certain table that had an open book to a particular story and I read the book which by the way was 'The Holy Bible' and open to the story of the 'Good Samaritan' which helped me to make a decision for my life.

The Night at the Library
The night at the library started out just like any other night with me in the stacks reshelving books from the day before. For some reason this night was beginning to feel a different. At the moment I am not quite sure how, but I am having a feeling I will be finding out. Just not sure when.

The Books
As I went into that reading room there it was 'The Book". I walked up to the table, and I heard "Read the book." I stood there wondering what should I do for I thought that I had put all the books back on the shelves. I inched closer to the table, and it seemed like I was being gently pushed to that table with that book. My phone rang. I answered it, 'Read the book." Again, the feeling of being pushed to the table. I was closer to the table and the book turned out to be "The Bible".

The Books
When walking through the library one dark and gloomy evening when I was placing books back in the stacks there was this one study carrell that seemed to whisper. I slowly went over to it, and it kept saying "Read the book. Read the book." I thought what book as I finished putting books back on the shelves. I went about straightening chairs and picking up items that students left behind and put in the lost and found box. "Read the book, read the book." Again, what book. I went into the next room and there it was "The Book".
