Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer
Who remembers watching 'Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer' during the Christmas holiday? This is a classic claymation cartoon about a little reindeer destined to lead Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve. There are or could be many side stories that can teach many lessons about diversity to us all.

Fire Over Acadia
I am a volunteer book reviewer for Olympia Publishers based in London, England. Reading novels from British authors is an opportunity for me to share books from other countries. It is fun reading these books to see how they write for I am and do have British relatives across the pond. The first British novel that I have read for Olympia Publishers is 'Fire Over Acadia' and there will be more. I will also, hopefully, be offering more book reviews from the online company that I also review for presently.

The Scalpel and The Sword
As mentioned in a previous post I am now reviewing novels from British authors writing for Olympia Publishers. The next review is a novel entitled 'The Scalpel and The Sword' written by R. John Thorpe. 'The Scalpel and The Sword' is a novel about a character by the name of John and his growing up and off to school and the military and how his life always seemed to revolve around home and England. John has many decisions to make that will affect his living through all his days and the experiences he has lived and will be living through. This is a novel that is like a world tour from England to Africa to Asia and back to England. The time period is during the periods of many wars of the English empire of the 17th century.

This is the story of a girl named Dorothy who has many adventures through time and space. Dorothy is a child from a sad home where the mother was overworked and her father was an alcoholic. The story begins when Dorothy is in a vegetative state as an adult and a resident of a rehabilation center due to her adventures through various times and places and being with various kinds of people through time, but are linked through various keys that must match to hopefully make it home again somehow.

As an introduction to myself I am currently a freelance writer for an educational magazine for homeschoolers, as well as working as a book and journal reviewer for several online sites. My education ranges from degrees from Bachelor's degrees to a Doctoral degree. Specically, my degrees are in Educational studies and Human services for the Bachelor's degrees. There is a Master's in Curriculum and instruction, a Post-Master's in College teaching, leading up to the terminal degree of a Doctorate in Reading and literacy. I also have a diploma in Practical nursing. I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 14 years as a Geriatric psychiatric nurse for 14 years where I also worked as an Activities assistant for the same amount of years. For fun I also still like to read and write and work in the garden and make several types of crafts. My articles here on Vocal.com will be lectures and lessons on the content areas found in the classroom from Science, English, Social studies and Math. I also plan to offer other subjects as well dealing with some college and graduate level courses, too. My articles will be for home school parents and classroom teachers. My first article will be for seventh grade General science course. Remember these lessons/lectures are written as if a teacher is preparing lecture notes.
