About That...
Remember the time that there was something wrong with dad's tea? Yes, that was me. It all started because I was ten and I couldn't take his drinking anymore. I studied the plants that were in the yard and made a discovery that one of them is dangerous if taken or ingested. Now before you worry nothing happened and he just made me make him a new picture of tea so there was no actual damage done but I was a child, and I was trying to protect us from the beatings that we all got, and I wanted to make it end.

The Valley
There weren't always dragons in the valley. Up till now it was a serene spot that the Mage people like to dwell and take up positive space in. There were book sermons, how to properly use wands, and planet magic specialty classes. It was only recently that the dragons have taken up residence in the beautiful woods of the planet Coronet. There was a vicious fight between the dragons and the planetary demi-gods that drove them from their home and to stay on ours. My family and I are Mage people. We draw all strength from the planet and use it to power our way of life.

Him
Dreaming of you. Who are you and why do I keep dreaming of you? You take many forms, but the vibes are always the same. Whether or not you are someone I know or a complete stranger I always dream of you. Local celebrities that are on my mind or a minor crush that I pass by on the street and think that you are cute. Why are you haunting my dreams and why do I feel so guilty about it? Whenever I dream and then pass by one of the people, I dreamed you being, I always feel a rush that normally never comes over me. What is this rush and why do I crave it? I crave the closeness and the connection but is that so wrong? To want someone who can step into your soul and physical being and take away all word and thoughts you might have.

Comicon?
Does anyone really comprehend what a convention is without actually going to one? NOPE. Not possible. I've been going to conventions for years now and are more excited to go now than ever. It's the best experience for those that like to shop, walk, and gather with others of like minds. This is something that I started going to years ago and fell in love with and guess what? I'm not a big comic book person. You don't have to know all about comics to understand these people. They are everyone and everything that I always loved about people because they express their differences out loud and there is nothing better than that. First, I will start with the gamers. Those that love videogames and have been playing them for years like myself there is a place for you! Down the many halls are creators, editors, and people that designed their own videogames. They are just sitting in their little booth waiting for you to walk by so they can start talking to you and usually hand you a free copy of their new comic book series or regular book series. This is excitement that I haven't felt since the pre-pandemic days....

What does Losing your mind look like?
What is it supposed to look like when you lose your mind? Are you sleeping? Do you eat? In my case it's a personality change. I was always a nice person. My past was very violent, no pity ME's here but I spent most of my life trying to be a better person. I didn't want to be the one who was rude, drunk, or obnoxious. Stress manifests itself in many ways, I started blocking things out and then people and then ideas. I became so tired with myself and the world around me. I stopped speaking to people and started missing work and needing to de-stress. Nothing helped and trips to my psychologist are becoming more frequent with the non-urgent thought of actually hurting myself as I have now hurt others. I changed as a person because the usual happy, content, personality changed to a mean, insulting, and degrading individual. I called out another associate at my work out on the floor without any reason and really upset her which is not like me at all. When I realized that I was stressed to be hurting so bad that I started lashing out it was time for a change. Being physically damaged to the point that I could not work was starting to sound more appealing.

The Debate
There has been debate on whether or not this is a choice or whether or not it is a disease. I stand firmly with the idea that this is a choice and not something that happens to a person like getting the flu or a regular cold. Hear me out, I have my reasons.

Cute Brunette
A gentleman is walking down the street to a local bus stop and sees a cute brunette sitting and waiting for the bus. As he is also waiting, he grabs an open seat next to her. “ I wonder who she is”, he thinks to himself. Then a resounding voice comes from the back of his mind, “ Don’t think about it you probably can’t handle her”. Being the curious man that he was went up and introduced himself and started polite conversation. I’m Kris he says, and she says, “Hello, I’m Lydia”. Like any normal meeting they start talking about the weather and life goals and share funny stories. She likes him but is too distracted by life to want a relationship. Kris was the tall dark and handsome kind of guy. The type that Lydia thought was just her type. You know the type. The guy that always takes care of his girl, the ones that walk on the sidewalk next to traffic so if someone were to jump a curve, he could save her first. The one to always pull the chair out when she sits down and stand when she enters a room. Not many men are like this anymore, so this had her attention. She knew why she was there, and it wasn’t for romance or connection of any kind. The bus pulls up and he gestures that she can go first and then follows making sure that she is safely seated before the bus starts again. He asks to have a seat next to her and smiles and nods, agrees. “It’s only a short ride to my apartment complex,” Lydia says as they bus takes off. Kris smiles and says, “I'll take every moment I can get”. The bus stops and Lydia grabs her things and starts heading off to her apartment. Kris stays on the bus as his destination is farther than this. Lydia looks at Kris and says, “it was a pleasure to meet you”. He responds, “The pleasure was all mine”. They share smiles and Lydia starts to head to her apartment. What she didn’t account for was the intelligence and dedication of this man when he was properly motivated. They go their separate ways, and she knows that they will meet again as it is her job to motivate people. Three days later she goes to get on the bus to go to work and Kris is standing by a 67’ Mustang with flowers in hand offering her a ride to work and a proper proposal of seeing her again. She is floored because how did he know when she was going to be going to work or that she really hated the bus. She accepts and lets the gentleman give her a ride to work. She was curious as to how much he knew so she never told him where she worked or what she did. Without being told, he took her to the place that she worked and dropped her off proper, even walked her to the door. She stepped inside agreeing to see him again and then starting her day. He dropped her off at the local library as it was where she worked, on paper. Lydia went to the front desk and told the receptionist a strange phrase. Lydia said, “Agent B, requesting to speak with his majesty”. The reception starts smiled and said, “you're on time for a change, I see your new assignment is going well”. “SSSHHHH”, Lydia says as she is handed a book by the receptionist and starts to head toward the back of the library. She gets to the back of the library where there is a wall and nothing else. She opens the book and says, “Peacocks, umbrellas, and duct tape”. Suddenly there is moving on the other side of the wall and a door appears where the wall was. She enters and gets to work. At this time, she has agreed to dinner with Kris and will be cleaned up and ready for it by the end of her shift. Kris meets her outside the library at eight and takes her to a lovely dinner for two at a very high-end restaurant. Being that she is liking how this is turning out, she agrees to another date and a relationship form that will greatly affect her job and herself. “You weren’t supposed to have actual feelings for this man!”. Feeling happy and connecting with someone is not what she was trained for. “We know the punishment for taking too long on an assignment”, she reminds herself. “You are an AOC”, she reminds herself as she starts to have thoughts of Kris and how nice and funny, he was. The next day at work was worse than before. The Management of the AOC network personally called her into his office to discuss his concerns with Lydia and her ability to focus, “you are one of my best,” he says, “but don’t get distracted.” “You know the punishment for connecting too much with targets and wasting time”. She agrees whole heartedly and tells the boss that she will finish her assignment and move on. He comments,” you have already taken three times a long on this assignment then the others, wrap it up agent. “Yes Sir”, she says as she leaves his office. “It is time to finish this because there are so many others that need motivated and I’m wasting time”, she thinks to herself as she gets back to work. As Kris is trying to figure Lydia out, he keeps running into issues. How can someone that is employed at a library live in an apartment worth 1k a month? Stocking books is not to going to give you that kind of payout”, Kris says to himself, “ I'll look deeper into her history and see just what she is doing to make so much money and why she is still riding the bus to work’. Investigations into her are turning up no such luck on who or what she is or actually does for a living, and he is starting to get suspicious as to what she is really up to. He called a friend at the company that owns the library and they have had no one on the payroll with that name. Talks with the associates in the library show no such knowledge of her save the receptionist who is always there day or night. The next day he sneaks into the library and waits for her to come in and speak to the receptionist as to see if there is anything weird going on. As he hides behind a row of books Lydia walks in and goes up to the desk as usual and and says, “Agent B clocking in”. The receptionist hands her another book and she proceeds to to go to the back of the library not knowing that Kris is watching her this whole time. She stands facing a wall and says, “Oranges, Perplexities, and Scotch”. The door appears and she walks through. Kris is at a loss to know how to handle this as he is thinking that she just stocked shelves for a living and not living a double life as a spy. Kris the impulsive type that cannot wait and needs to see what is going on in that room. Lydia has walked in and you notice the door only stays open for a few seconds after someone passes through. “Passing through walls”? “I must have lost my mind”. Kris says as he gets his timing in to jump in as the next person is ready to enter the Agency. He is only aware that a few people have entered this place and wonders why its hidden. Another agent comes in as he hears, “Agent 16 ready for clock in” at the front desk. He tries and hides himself between a few shelves of books as not to be seen. Kris times it just right and manages to slip in behind Agent 16 and takes one step over the threshold and sees many people, going about their workday. Names of clients on the board in back and suddenly his stomach felt like it got hit by a brick and he feels queasy. Collapsing to the floor someone says, “Lydia, I think he’s yours”!

1908
It was 1908 and Dr. Stephen Wittacre ran an asylum in an abandoned forest in Maine. This asylum was rumored to be haunted by the local townspeople. Stories of torture and rebellion reign supreme all over the town. The main story that people tell is about a girl named Piny. She was an assistant to the doctor as she was slightly more lucid than the regular patients. Until one day when the doctors use of torture methods changed her life. She was usually slow and liked to talk herself through everything to make sure she remembers. She refused to give a medicine to a patient that she knew was not right for him. She knew he was being given too much and ot was making him sick everday worse and worse. As she said no and refused to do as the doctor asked. She was alway quiet and submissive. For her punishment he put her in a chair that was suspended from the ceiling and spun in a clockwise direction. As she slowly spun she noticed that the rope holding her chair started fraying. The line keeping her above a 30 foot drop was slowly withering away. As she felt the seconds pass and rotations increase she started to feel the weight of her tiny body pulling on an ever fraying line. Without a scream the line broke and she plummeted in her chair to the bottom of this well smacking her head on the concrete bottom. She laid in bed for a week in a comatose state. They left her alone thinking that she would be dead soon. About a week later she woke up with such a horrible headache that she couldn’t think at all. She managed to crawl out of bed and grab some bread and a cup of water that was left by the bread by someone that favored her. This was not known to the doctor because he was so distracted by his new and inventive ways of torturing his patients. He believed in phrenology making it possible to make his own diagnosis and make a treatment for what he thinks is wrong. He loved shock therapy, waterboarding, and and what he called scraping. Which was laying a person on the ground while he took sheets of nails, blades, and metal corners and drug it across the persons body until they increase submissive behavior. It was meant for those that rebelled to his methods. This is one of many things he invented to torture his patients because he was delusional and thought he could cure them from everything. A few days later Piny disappears from her room unnoticed and goes back to the doctor for her job back. In shock he gives her the medicine to give to the man who was being made sick and she bows and says, “yes, doctor I will give them to him”. What the doctor didn’t see was the small tic tack looking pills that she quickly swapped th out with before the doctor watched her drug this poor patient. After the doctor agreed and left her by this man’s side Piny whispered in his ear, “I gave you an aspirin instead.I’m going to need your help here soon! Pretend to be miserable and fight with me everyday about these meds. When the time comes we’re gonna stop the doctor from doing this all together. Days went by and then weeks as she saw the light in his eyes get clearer as was slowly building her army with patients from the clinic that she substituted meds out for. By the time 6 months had rolled around she had all of the patients clean from what meds they were on and ready to end the evil doctor! It was a party night! The doctor let his staff imbibe in alcohol and other substances once in a blue moon. So this was the perfect time to take them all down. First that needed to go was a man named Talbot. He was the doctors muscle and restraint when things got violent which was often. Talbot was about 6’ 4’’ and a built man That bragged about steroid use and other things that a man shouldn’t brag about. However Piny had a plan. There was this white powder that she had seen used on other patients thT she wanted to try for herlself. It was red in nature and had the consistency of flower. Once blown onto the face of an individual it caused seizing, delusions, and mental breakdown. Not telling the others about this idea she wanted to take down Talbot before the rest of the patients started fighting to give them a good chance at escaping. She snuck up behing him and asked to see if he needed anything from her before she retired and as he bent down to talk to her she blew a puff of red smoke in his face making him hit the ground in convulsions. Step one was done, now on to the mass exodus. There was a bell that was rang everyday at lunch to signal food. She rang this at 10 that evening and her army of patients would know this was the bell to freedom. At this momen they all stopped acting strange and drugged looking and stood up and started attacking guards. The good doctor was not thrilled about the idea of security because any good souls would hinder his progress. No good conscience could work in his facility. The security he does have is the worst of the worst. As the patients are taking care of the guards Piny and a few friends are grabbing the good doctor and deciding what they should do to him! After the riots and burning subsided the lot of patients ran away and found shelter elsewhere. She however stayed to play with the good doctor. What no one knew was that bash to her head from the fall all those months ago is that she started thinking clearer and getting smarter. She took over the asylum and started using it for better purposes until her death in 1945. It was then a bonded and left for what it was as no one wanted to investigate what really happened in that asylum! It sat for decades with no one to visit it. Until now…..
