More Than A Pain In The Back
Be warned, PMR/GCA are much more than a pain in the back. I’ve had a few lumbago and sciatica attacks over the years due to my sedentary occupation. And whilst both of these are quite painful conditions, they are nothing compared to what I got next.

We Were The Boys
Liverpool in the swinging sixties. I have to say, my childhood was not an easy one. I was an undernourished and introverted child born and brought up on the wrong side of the tracks. I was bullied and beaten on a frequent basis at home, at school and out on the streets. I was once attacked by a group of figteen sixteen year old thugs who left me for dead. I did not expect to live a very long life and at times neither did I desire one. There was very little joy in my young life apart from music and football, I was fanatic about both. And it was those two things that sustained me during some of my most difficult days.

Strange Meeting On A Park Bench On My Birthday
It was a stunningly beautiful Autumn day, the azure blue sky acting like a blank canvas on which nature had decided to paint a masterpiece full of vibrant natural colours. A mosaic, leaf-confetti littered pathway led off to a vanishing point far off in the distance. On both sides, lines of skeleton trees, shedding their summer foliage, stood like sentinels guarding the pathway to heaven. To each side mid-life evergreens acted as a natural bulwark to protect the open parkland behind.

The Trail That Leads To The Person Who Invented Bitcoin
When you think about it, the idea of creating invisible money is brilliant. In effect, that is exactly what Bitcoin is. The transactions that take place online are between you and your computer. There is no middleman such as a bank and no internal revenue. Bitcoin is a totally unregulated field of finance. It is not too surprising then that lots of people, including the mafia, have taken that cash from under the mattress or wherever else they normally keep it hidden, and invested it in all sorts of cryptocurrency. Crypto of course says it all. The word means 'secret or hidden.' So that is the nature of the beast by name as well as by its modus operandi. I suppose the whole idea is more than a little mysterious to say the least. But it goes deeper than this.

Performing Music Across The World
As a well known prolific writer across various platforms, Vocal Media being my current favourite, people could be forgiven for not knowing what else I get up to when I am not writing. At this point I should point out that I am also an author and writer of short stories and poetry with about eleven books out on Amazon. After that I turn my attention to music.

How Education Is Failing To Fulfil Its Duty
As a professional teacher of some forty years, teaching wide range of age groups covering quite a variety of subjects in languages and the arts, I have long since come to the conclusion that exams are not a good way to achieve what they are supposed to achieve.

The Day I Suffered A Near Fatal Fart Attack
If you suffer from an excess of flatulence, as I do, it can lead to some extremely hilarious, embarrassing moments. There is one thing you should never do when dealing with the public and that is because it tends to leave a very bad smell, if you know what I mean, except in this case it was all the sound and the fury without the whiff.Allow me to explain.

My Best Friend Married A Prostitute
What happened to my best friend, Paul, could happen to anybody. You meet somebody new and you take whatever they tell you about themselves on face value. And that alone can be bad enough when you come to realise that what you have been told is speckled with lies, half truths and self delusion, but it's the parts that they don't tell you about that can really trip you up.
