I am a non-binary, trans-masc writer. I work to dismantle internalized structures of oppression, such as the gender binary, class, and race. My writing is personal but anecdotally points to a larger political picture of systemic injustice.

the manic person. Top Story - September 2025.
the manic person had no time for mistakes, yet always made too many. their urgency led to reckless and entirely avoidable error, and while the manic person knew this with every fiber of their being, they could not bring themselves to access the part of their brain that stored that important kernel of wisdom. they would follow their misguided gut to the devil's doorstep with vigor and haste, and had done so frequently before. the inclination to act on anything felt so great at times that they often found themselves in the midst of a great mess with no plan, no solution, only an intense desire to be doing something. this usually caused a great deal of strife for the manic person when their mania invariably subsided and they were faced with the consequences of their behavior.

I Hear Music. Top Story - July 2025.
When I look across the trees, I hear music. A symphony of waves fills me as the wind moves the shoreline oh so slightly to the right... My right. A subtle rippling effect accompanies the breeze as deep evergreen becomes a brightened chartreuse. A layering of sound becomes visible as oaks lean and still stand tall against the bristling maples and rustled brush.

I can't tell you how I love you because I might forget how it began, uncertain and excited. I might mention how you stopped my breath on our first date in your orange crewneck sweater. You walked up to me from the other side of the bar and I felt like the luckiest person knowing you were there for me. And I might mention how I left your side because I knew how long you might stay if I didn't. I might also mention how you left the second time because I hadn't told you.
