She got into her room and immediately shut the curtains and locked the door. Had she done the right thing? She had been over it dozens of times with her therapist. She could leave the house for a trip, she was capable, she was more powerful than she gave her self credit. Yet as she slid down the wall, defeated, she felt like nothing more than a crumpled up piece of paper.

I watched the cursor dance in the little white box and sighed. Why did I have to make my password your name and a mix of numbers that now gagged me with emotions? It should be an easy process to reset your password, but I made it unknowingly difficult to process the change when the day finally came. It had been logged in for years, saved in my keychain. The prompt came up and I was hit with a wave of emotions...it's time to change your password. I didn't realize when I first read the words change that it meant more than just a word, it meant changing my perspective too.

Decoding a Year in a Disabled Life
The end of the year is always a complex jumble of thoughts for me. A time of forced reflection, when the entire world pauses and celebrates the exact same thing - a new calendar year. We use this time to reflect on the past 365 days, a time capsule of sorts to help us organize our memories like photograph books.
