Rudolph the Red Nosed Horror
Ho ho ho! Santa is here to tell you the terrifying real tale of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The story has been changed over the years to make it more marketable for kids but I feel that someone needs to know the truth. I am the 76th incarnation of Santa. The title of Santa is one that you don't ask for and you definitely don't come into it because of family. One day you're some regular person in the world and then the next you too might be Santa. Whenever a current Santa passes away for any multitude of reasons the cosmos seeks out a new one immediately. I used to be Robert Hiemen and lived in Germany during the time of the Third Reich. One day though I vanished not just from my home but also the memories of all my loved ones. It was like I never existed. I became the new Santa and I have been since then. On average a normal Santa lives around two hundred years. So I've still got a while to go.

Six Hours to Save the World
I take a look at my watch noting that it's six now. I have six more hours to save the world. Now I realize obviously this sounds like a pretty big thing to just be doing but I'm at least partially trained for these sorts of scenarios. I work for a shadow organization that specializes in world saving and well this is my first day of field duty. Unfortunately all the other agents are out dealing with other bigger threats than my own so it's just me this time. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous but I think I got this.

Why Florida's Mail Moves So Slowly
I am not a USPS driver nor will I probably ever be. So realize this story is an entirely fictional take on a day in the job. Also the Florida Man story in this piece is also fictional as far as I know. If you happen to know of a story that has a lot of similarities then please share it with me.

Tarot of the streets
I'm a homeless tarot card reader. Before you make any jokes about why I didn't see it coming, my cards don't work for me only for others. Trust me I've tried many times only to be met with failure. It was always my one wish to be able to read my cards for myself but I just couldn't. I became homeless after a strange set of events that involved some zoo animals and a magician but that's a story for another time. Right now I want to tell you the story of why I'm freezing to death here on the sidewalk of Main street on Christmas Eve.

The Conductor's Tale
My name is Johan D. Halloway, and I was a train conductor. Twenty five years ago I committed the crime of drinking and steaming. Otherwise known as operating a steam powered train while drunk. Due to my actions thirty two people lost their lives including five children. When I was arrested my only words were, "I'm a bad conductor." Today I am scheduled to be executed by the state via electric chair, but before I shed my physical body I would like to tell you my story of the time I have spent in this prison.

Lake of Souls Chapter 16
Previous Chapter The man wheeled around to look at us. His eyes grew wide upon seeing Filon and I charging towards him. I looked at Filon, "You get the child. I'll handle him." Filon nodded quickly and ran past me. I screamed at the top of my lungs, drowning out the howling winds around us. The man dropped the blade and tried to run though it was far too late for him. I reached a hand out scooping the fabric of his robe into my fingers and yanked him up off the ground so he could look me in the eyes.

The Tale of Eco the Dolphin
This story is part of an 11 part collaboration started by a creator on Vocal known as Courtney Capone. She wanted to make this short fiction series to draw attention to the plastic pollution problem in the ocean. I'll be the first to admit I wasn't very educated on it myself but the further I read the more horrified I became by it all. With that in mind I wrote a tale of something truly horrible. The story may be fiction but the inspiration behind it is unfortunately quite real. However first since I am the 9th person to be in the collaboration I will be posting the previous eight authors before me so you can enjoy their reads as well.
