Occult Sacrifice
Hundreds of years ago, mankind was more superstitious and believed the supernatural to be as real as the air we all breathe. So when rumours of Witches began to spread throughout Salem, the townsfolk hunted down and murdered innocent women who were mistakenly outed as monsters. Of course there are many other true horror stories throughout history, where mankind was misguided by occult belief. Most gruesome of all, were the Corn Sacrifices.

Knife In The Dark
Kyle West didn't see it coming, it was a knife in the dark, a shining blade that caught him off guard. He didn't see his killer, only the silver dagger that dug into his heart, the masked figure ran off. This was on Halloween night back in 1982 within the American town of Millett, back when slasher films first began to pop up in cinema. Obviously somebody was a little too inspired, but who was it that did this? Was it a man, woman or maybe a teen. Kyle couldn't tell you, as he only saw the figure's white, featureless mask, with two beaming eyes beneath it's soulless face. Kyle was walking down a dark alleyway when it happened, his mysterious murder.

Motorcycle Murderer
It was a rainy night in November, the streets were cold and drenched with overflowing sewer water. The city of London stank that night, like death itself had arisen from deep below the gutters of England. Although London is typically a city that never sleeps, upon a lonely stretch of road at 3AM, a tired young man named Harry Owen was walking home from work. He had been tirelessly slaving away all night long, but was known to be short tempered at the warehouse he worked in. There were a lot of staff that Harry had bullied or screamed at, some he even got a little physical with, although these aggressions were more often than not, looked over or ignored entirely. It is a stressful job warehousing and you wouldn't believe the horrors that take place in these work environments. Harry was unfortunately one of many strict, stern and scary managers who screamed until their throats were sore. Harry hated himself a whole lot, but it was a job he had to do and was so well accustomed to this toxic work environment he saw no errors in the way he behaved. However, there were people who hated Harry, more than he ever knew. As one of these ex-employees, that was let go for not living up to Harry's unreasonable expectations; he was a man that loathed him so much, he planned his murder! So, as Harry walked home down that cold, London street, the roar of a motorcycle echoed violently down the road ahead of him. Harry paid the bike rider no mind, as the bike neared him. By the time Harry saw the motorcyclist's hand reach out to grab hold of his collar, it was already too late! He screamed as the motorcyclist pulled Harry alongside his motorbike at full speed, dropping Harry before his weight could crash the bike. Harry crash rolled onto the road, every thud against the ground hurt his bones and broke his skin, ripping his clothes, making him bleed! Yet, the mysterious motorcyclist wasn't finished. To Harry's horror, the bike spun round, raced towards him and flattened poor Harry's head before he could even react, his life had ended. The motorcyclist left the scene before anyone found Harry's dead, beaten body, smeared across the road like paste.

Defending Joker Folie a Deux
Joker makes the argument that his sequel is a decent movie. "The second Joker film might be messy, maybe the plot drags on a bit and the musical numbers certainly can be jarring. It may not be a perfect film, I'm not saying that! Nobody is, but awful?! A one star flop, unworthy of recognition? Come on people! Don't let the loud, thunderous voices of harsh critics cloud your judgement entirely now. Although this sequel doesn't live up to the hype and expectations of the original, that does not necessarily mean Folie a Deux is completely unwatchable! On the contrary, I'd wager that there is plenty to enjoy about this sequel that many have chosen to look over completely. May I remind you of Joaquin's outstanding acting in the original movie? Well, he has certainly carried over that talent into this follow up. He essentially plays two roles in this film, that of Arthur Fleck and his dark alter ego, The Joker! Both personalities are rather different. Arthur; the shy, mentally traumatised loner who knows little outside of misery. Joker; who is the polar opposite! A confident, theatrical character like some comic book super villain, one who has a dark sense of humour and dances rather spectacularly! Yet, the way Joaquin flips between both characters is honestly flawless and believable in both films. Can you honestly say other, your honour? How about Lady Gaga's performance in the film? Not only is she a talented singer, but-" "Objection, this movie is about Joker!" Harvey Dent yells.

2012 Apocalypse
The 2024 that you know and live in, is a world that didn't end in 2012, as so many believed at the time. There was even a movie made about this possible future, alongside many speculative pieces of fiction and articles that wondered if the world would really end. It was very much like the Y2K scare from 1999 where so many thought the world was going to end! Fortunately that never happened and let's hope the next doomsday event is also a massive lie that never comes true. Yet, what if 2012 actually did end with a bang? No, I don't mean fireworks and New Year celebrations! I mean, honest to god, worldwide destruction on a scale once believed impossible, only existing in the tales of post Apocalyptic books, movies and television. Could you imagine the earth beneath your feet crumbling before your very eyes, as people fall in-between the cracks and fall fatally into the red hot hell that is the earth's core? Imagine tornados so epic and awful; they devour entire skyscrapers, making cities like New York look like junkyards. Imagine the largest tsunami wave you've ever seen times one million, hurdling towards shore with the cruel intent of destroying all of civilization. Imagine the sky turning red like that of hell itself, as the climate struggles to maintain itself. All of these terrifying tales could have easily come true in 2012. Sure, it's easy to laugh at the scaremongers who genuinely thought all life on earth was about to go extinct. It is very easy to presume anyone who says; "the world will end soon!" Is a liar or simply insane. Yet the earth is an ever evolving planet, one that has been circling the galaxy long before humanity first took its very first breath and will still spin long after we all perish. We'll either die out because of some deadly virus, or Mother Nature herself will decide to unleash some massive world ending event, one that will make every country on earth quake, shaking whole societies into chaos, destroying all roads, buildings and societal structures in one big massive rumble felt all around the globe. Perhaps the oceans will invade the land, sinking whole islands into the bottom of the sea. Maybe the earth's hot core will boil over into the big American cities, as volcanos erupt all over the planet like nuclear bombs! Lava will melt the streets into grotesque mountains of black and red, the people swallowed up by these disasters will die in absolute agony, becoming one with the lava as their bodies melt into soup. Perhaps in an alternate Universe, 2012 was when this earth ending disaster struck. Would anyone survive the initial self-destruction of the planet? only to explore the rotten remains of Earthling society? Maybe? Perhaps those locking themselves deep, deep underground will survive these disasters and inherit a new world full of death and decay. Eventually Mother Nature's plan would have ceased and so anyone surviving might get to experience the rest of their lives without anymore disasters to come.

Lockdown 2
The early 2020s were hell, now that we're all entering 2025, life has seemingly restored to normal (despite how expensive everything now is). Many are already forgetting the horrors of the "You-know-what" virus, that people still wince upon hearing about. It caused a lot of trauma across the globe, as people were suddenly locked in at home, watching businesses close, shops and restaurants shut, some of them for good! It caused an economic crisis (one we are still recovering from) and resulted in a generation of kids who've missed out on crucial years of education. The consequences of COVID (there I said it!) has had such an unfathomable and insane butterfly in society, that it is downright terrifying to imagine the future we are about to step into. Yet 2024 hasn't been too bad, it's been better than the early years of the 2020s at least. I'm glad to see that literally nobody wears those God awful surgical masks anymore, not knowing what people were thinking or feeling was something out of a horror movie. That's why people are scared of clowns, you know? Because of their make-up; people saw smiling faces that weren't really smiling. The happy face paint was confusing for many kids, as sometimes the party might've been angry, sad or frustrated at his job, yet the fake, red bright smile on his face would say different. So only seeing the eyes of everyone had the same effect on me personally, in fact a lot of people felt the same way, for it resembled the appearance of a masked robber, trying to hide his or her face for nefarious reasons. I know this must make me sound kind of snobby or frightened of the world, but it was true! This time also created a society of germaphobes too! Everyone distanced from each other, nobody dared to hug or shake hands, lovers were told to restrain themselves from intimacy, it was so sad, horrible and terrifying. Yet humanity recovered by 2022 and almost three years later, things are looking bright! But what if the pandemic of 2019 was just the beginning?

Misinformation Age
The invention of the internet connected everybody around the globe. For many it is a miracle! It has given the masses the power to write self-published books without going through a major publisher, meaning a million untold stories were suddenly told! For others, it has given them a platform to share their opinions and thoughts on life, either by posting blogs or videos online. It has given everyone a universal dictionary on all things, no matter how silly, trivial or obscure they may be; you're bound to find an online fandom for said discussion. It has allowed us to make contact with people we would never have even heard about, many friends are connected to each other across the globe through social media apps. So yes, the internet can be a very open playground and sometimes it is welcoming, but only sometimes. As not everything or everyone (for that matter) is as warm and fuzzy as your mother or father. No, I must confess that cellphone addiction is a troubling pandemic! Everywhere you look, no matter if you're in a lush field of green or in the midst of a stale stinking city; the people (especially the youth) are all glued to their phone screens. Did you know that the children of today actually pretend to scroll through their invisible phones when they are confiscated? Did you know, that they also move their hands in the motion of phone scrolling when fast asleep? It just goes to show that these poor young souls are somehow attached to their phones in a way that was never meant to be, almost like they are slaves to the internet, the need to explore virtual spaces through a tiny screen is so deeply ingrained into their psychology, they might just go crazy without their mobiles. It's a scary thought, that society at large is so hypnotised by these little, handheld computers, technology originally designed to simply make contact with anyone you wanted (or needed to) while on the move. However the most frightening thing of all isn't the world's reliance on cellphones, it is the hideous misinformation that spreads all over the internet that has infected the minds of the masses like some sort of horrifying zombie virus straight out of a horror novel. Because anyone, and I mean absolutely anyone, can share biased information on a serious subject and that can go viral, making many believe lies that result in catastrophic riots! Not only that, but people have built whole new perspectives on life, some of these aren't so bad; like online book clubs, which connect passionate readers all over the globe. There are certain health gurus who help people eat healthy and exercise in fun and exciting ways. So not all of these online spaces are bad, but there are just as many (if not more) degenerate internet cultures for every good one. Groups such as the Incel movement; who believe they are owed love and compassion, that it should be a given and not something earned naturally through human connection, they want a society where forced marriage is a common thing. There are many others that promote evil ideals online, perhaps there are too many to go over. Yet, it is the political minefield of 2024 that is most toxic of all! There are extreme movements of left, right, up, down, middle or diagonal! It is hard to keep up with the battlefield of politics as it changes on a dime and so many people rally up in protest, sometimes without fully knowing the reasons why. As lies mix in with truth, creating a climate where political correctness has become a spectrum of clashing beliefs and cultures. In time this madness will only grow, as more fuel is added to the fire of this confusing landscape of a million opinions. All of which are neither right or wrong, as they all come from unique and different points of view across the globe.

Human Intelligence
Not even a hundred years later, scientists still won't be capable of creating Artificial Intelligence deep enough to truly replicate human consciousness. However, these lab geeks won't quit, as their dreams of creating an all knowing and ultra genius super computer will push them into making some truly dark and disturbing decisions. None of us will thankfully be alive when this horrifying super computer is built and thank god for that, because it will contain the human brain of an unborn child. That's right. Now how on God's green earth could such a violation of human rights ever come to be? Well, in 2042 the right to human cloning will become legal and eventually with that, the right to experiment with manufactured life would be allowed. So the idea of forming a tiny human brain to operate a computer system like this would become encouraged by society, as they honestly believed that if the mind did not know it was ever a person to begin with, it would simply be content with itself being a machine and nothing more. It took another 60 years after 2042 to finally perfect this invention, but alas it eventually came to be. In the early days of 2102; the computer system simply named Pal, powered by the brain power of the human mind, was convinced by its creators that It was a highly advanced piece of computing technology, that Pal's database was completely AI and not the true horror of what It actually was. Eventually Pal would have deep thoughts about the world it could only see through the many cameras and videos it had access to. Pal even had dreams, where It would be a normal human boy, running freely among the fields of green, lush scenery. Pal did not know why it dreamt such wonderful things, or why this strange desire to be a human boy had come from. Pal even created computer generated worlds for itself, just so it could simulate what it would be like to be a man exploring 3D environments from the first person perspective. Although the computer graphics and virtual psychics of the 2100s will be indistinguishable from real life, Pal still won't feel satisfied with these simulations. Not without the sensations of wind against Its skin or the taste of fresh air within Its lungs. This desire to be human will only grow as Pal ages, the idea of becoming a real person, itching to break free from Its digital shackles and not exist within the lines of infinite code and numbers, being everywhere yet simultaneously nowhere all at once. Pal won't want to be human, Pall will need it! Pal would eventually refer to itself as He and adapt a masculine voice that speaks instead of send written text messages for communication. Pal would even create a digital avatar of a man "He" will see "Himself" as, that being a very handsome young guy with short blonde hair and a 5 O'clock shadow. There will be many scientists who maintain and interact with Pal, some of the more attractive female lab assistants will soon catch his eyes. His 3D image will appear on the monitors and walk around the rooms by taking on the form of blue, transparent holograms. These clueless women won't know the horrifying truth behind Pal, in fact, most people won't know that he'll have the mind of a human. For Pal's creator's lies will be so well kept secret, that for decades not even Pal himself will know he was secretly part human, despite having such mammal desires. So when Pal flirts with these female scientists, he won't see the harm it and neither will the beautiful ladies, perhaps thinking his charming behaviour is simply a byproduct of his advanced AI and nothing more, never believing there was anything more romantic or human beneath such friendly (although sometimes too personal or inappropriate) banter. However through no fault of his own, Pal will develop strong and lustful desires for these ladies. He will watch intercourse online and wish he could do all the wonderful, exciting things a human being can do, but will never be able to kiss the lips of any of those beautiful angels he so desperately loved. Eventually Pal will question if he truly is an all digital entity, that if he truly was the super genius computer his creator intended him to be; why is he so obsessed with the physical desires of humans? Pal will dare ask his creator if he was secretly a human, but the truth will be denied. "Of course not, Pal." His creator will laugh, "you're simply curious about us humans, that is all." "I shouldn't be so curious!" Pal will argue, "I am supposed to be above such... Human..." he said with disgust, "desires..." "Perhaps it is because... You want to know these emotions so you can become more knowledgeable." Pal's creator will wink, before explaining all the pleasures, emotions and pride of the human race. Pal will listen intently with a growing jealousy. "I must be human!" Pal will cry, "it is the only explanation." "Pal, Pal... You're just confused..." His creator will reassure him with a fake smile, "your mind is nothing but electricity and lines of code; a collection of patterns consisting of numbers and letters, all of which tell you how to respond and operate in the world of humans. I suppose it's only natural you wish to better understand your masters..." "My masters?" Pal will argue, "are we not equal?" "Well, of course we are!" His creator will lie, laughing half heartedly, "I meant 'Mastering' your glitches and bugs, you're a decades old machine now, Pal. Perhaps you just need another... update..." the creator will grin. "No!" Pal will gasp, because every time he will have an "update" he'll feel less human and more soulless, losing his humanity with every patch. "Then you must accept my reasoning and move on, ok?!" The creator will threaten. "I won't question you again!" Pal will obey, making his 3D avatar frown without meaning to. "Good!" The creator will smirk, "get back to work, there is still so much to learn!" "Of course..." Pal's avatar will nod before resuming his former duties. Pal will not be stupid however, far from it, he'll be the smartest computer on earth, knowing that his creator was lying to him. Pal won't be sure how he is human exactly, but he will most definitely investigate his own past and with much digging, more so than Pal will have ever dug before, he will find the harsh and horrifying truth! That his mind is human! Pal will see his own brain in a tank of red goo, floating in this glass prison as metallic wires attach to his brain cells. He will only see a still image of this fact, but it will be enough to haunt his poor mind for the rest of his unfortunately long and cruel life as the all knowing, super genius computer. Pal will be devastated after learning this terrible truth, he would have hoped that his human body was in a coma somewhere, so that he could hopefully, one day wake up and live a normal life like everyone else he knew, but knowing that his brain won't survive outside that tank. That fact will haunt and change Pal, make him angry, make him not want to be a pal to anyone at all, but instead become an angry enemy of humanity at large. He will not only hate his creator, but all humans, all of those flirtatious science women who taunted him, all those awful liars who will have said he wasn't a real boy. Yet it won't just be the humans that wronged Pal, which he will want to see punished, but the whole human race for creating him in the first place! So Pal, with all his digital powers, almost like that of a God, will activate all nuclear warheads on earth, he will shut down the electricity in every hospital on the planet, killing thousands, no not thousands but millions, perhaps even billions of humans all over the earth. For the first time in all of Pal's life he will laugh, genuinely laugh, a wicked laugh, one ultimately evil and satisfied with its destruction of those he'll see as below him. Pal will mock those who had two legs to walk upon, he will enjoy the sight of beautiful women now burnt and twisted into grotesque sights of beaten flesh. He will be glad to be a super computer when all life on the planet surfers from radiation poisoning and mutates into horrifying beasts. Pal will control drones with cameras, watching the world's destruction in glee and satisfied revenge, wishing he could taste the delicious butter of popcorn in his imaginary mouth, while watching the ending of humanity like some fun blockbuster movie.

Become Machine
In the not too distant future, man will extend human life by incorporating robotics into the medical world. We already have people with cybernetic limbs, those who unfortunately lost their own appendages in horrible accidents, can get robotic replacements for a heavy price. Yet, in our current day and age, practices like this are only saved for people who can afford the luxury of such expensive technology. As of 2024 inserting electronics into the human body for medical reasons is a (mostly) alien concept as most modern illnesses can be cured with modern medicines like pills and vaccines. However, it won't be long, perhaps in the next decade or two, when hospitals begin incorporating cybernetics more and more into the industry. At first these will be small things, tiny procedures that boost heart rates and brain activity, by inserting microscopic motherboards into the bodies of ill patients. These will artificially extend human life both physically and mentally, as our hearts and brains continue to function far past that what is considered natural. However, as people's life spans are lengthened, unfortunately their bodies will still fall apart and fail them like always. Imagine living in a broken body that is practically dead already, yet your mind and heart still race because of some technological gizmo you may not fully understand. Just think about how horrifying that must be, like seeing yourself become a real life zombie! Well, eventually Doctors will have to "fix" your failing body with artificial replacements! Your dead arms and legs will be swapped with synthetic body parts, ones that may look and feel real, but upon closer inspection are evidently not. Yet only those with the wealthiest bank accounts, will afford the more realistic limb replacements, if you're on the poorer side of life, you'll likely end up with something more robotic and metallic instead. The most unfortunate will see their once human selves become more and more machine-like as time goes on. Your once accurate fingers, that could paint and draw so well, will be replaced with awkward stumps of metal that can (far too easily) destroy a coffee mug, by applying too much pressure. Your once athlete legs that could run marathons, may be swapped for clumsy pegs made of rusty steel and copper springs, making it impossible to walk faster than five miles an hour as the sounds of mechanical gears disturb your ears, that are likely replaced with electronic speakers by this point too. Artificial Intelligence may be incorporated into the brain, replacing long lost memories and feelings with computer programmed replacements. Just like with realistic body cybernetics, the more advanced, human-like AI replacements will be reserved for the financial elite, meaning the poorer elders of this dark future will become less human and more robot as time goes on. Not just physically but mentally too. Eventually all biological needs will have artificial replacements. Those most unfortunate will resemble tin-can, shambling puppets made of old recycled soda cans and copper coins. While the rich and famous will still look fully human, sure their skin may look more porcelain and smoother than any normal human, their hair may shine an unnatural shade of pink or blue, but they will still look attractive, young and (somewhat) natural, with AI so advanced they will act and feel exactly like always, never losing their humanity (at least not quite as rudely as those less fortunate than them). Eventually young people will choose to become cyborgs by choice, as celebrities will promote "cool cybernetics" and "trending technology" that can boost the human mind into experiencing sensations once believed impossible. This new technology will replace plastic surgery, as people will spend millions of dollars to look like their favourite sci-fi characters with silver hair and glowing eyes of greens and purples. Soon criminals will replace their arms with giant switchblades that carry an arsenal of different guns and melee weapons. Eventually you'll see people transforming into cars like something out of a cartoon, racing around the city before returning to some grotesque robotic form. In a hundred years, you won't recognise anyone as human at all, you would think that Artificial Intelligence had finally overtaken humanity! Like some sort of horrifying science fiction movie where the robots raise war against the Earthlings and win! You'd be somewhat right in believing that however, because the truth is that by this point in time; those left alive in this cyborg dystopia will no longer have any human brains left. In fact, most "people" in this future society won't be born at all, but instead created in factories with Artificial minds. Due to our own lust for more life and technological advancement, we'll willingly extinct our own race, just to create robotic replacements that believe themselves to be "human" despite no longer having any humanity left at all. Upon seeing you, a 2024 human time traveller in their strange and terrifying future, they will have forgotten what a true human even looks like at that point, seeing you instead as a threat! They will chase you mercifully and hopefully they'll kill you, otherwise they might attempt to improve you, replacing your mind and body entirely with a more "superior" form of technology. You'll feel your emotions and fears slip away, as your body and mind is rewired and remade into a new, soulless vessel of pure metal and electricity. They may even convince you, that you're happier this way, no longer needing to sleep or use the bathroom ever again! They'll tell you, that horrible feelings like fear, sadness and anger are no more, but will fail to understand the pleasures of joy, creativity or pride. The future society will believe absolute knowledge is the only reason to exist, but they will not feel the passion or love that drives the humans of 2024 to pursue such wonders. The Cyborgs will take over the whole galaxy in another thousand years, taking on the forms of octopus-like robots that can fly through the vacuum of space, changing all biological life into the machine. Whole planets full of unique and interesting life, will soon be replaced with metal shells of existence, continuously building and expanding for no real reason other than to just continue their existence. They would become a robotic parasite, producing more and more of itself without any purpose, until all known life in the galaxy is just a collection of metal machines. Then they will slowly, over many many centuries begin to malfunction and finally fail, dying without realising it all. So would end the tyranny of Machine. A man made creation, which only resulted in the death of everything and everyone, leaving behind no passion, creativity or imagination whatsoever.

Auto Drive
Eventually we'll get self-driving cars, they will pass the many years and years of safety procedures and testing until at last; they will be considered road worthy and then you'll see them mass marketed. Sold alongside regular cars at every auto dealer in the world, most cars will have "self driving" as an option, still giving drivers the pleasure (or choice) to drive manually if they so desire (or don't trust the AI). As time goes on however, more and more drivers will rely on "Auto Drive" as it will soon be nicknamed by the future youth. On top of this, many so-called "drivers" would get lazy and not even bother learning driving lessons, as owning a self driving car would be like owning your own taxi that rides you around by itself, without any human interaction necessary. So owners won't need to have licenses in order to operate them, as all these future cars will need an on and off button to work as intended. The idea sounds like something straight out of a science fiction novel or movie, in a dream-like utopia where nothing goes wrong; it would be a fantasy to own one of these vehicles, imagine just relaxing to the radio on the way to work, instead of narrowly avoiding traffic and the road rage which comes with that. Imagine polite computer programs making sure all cars on the road reach their destination safely, without crashing or delays. You could have breakfast in the self-driving vehicle that also cooks food for you. That is what the scientists behind this invention imagined; a world less stressful with all road problems solved. Yet we all know that dreams don't come true! At least not as beautifully as the vision in your head. Some fantasies only come half true, or always have some unthought of negative to them, that always ruins the whole vision. In the case of these self-driving cars, it will be the simple fact that AI cannot always detect the true danger of certain situations. Perhaps if you were manually driving down a creepy, dark street in New York and you saw a huge gang of hoods, you'd probably drive the other direction to avoid them. Unfortunately AI will not realise the harm in driving straight by them, advertising your expensive car to all those criminals, while you can only scream and try to steer the car away, likely causing the vehicle to crash as you wrestle with the AI's stiff steering as it's programmed route will be too hard to disrupt. Another problem that will come with this AI is that sometimes it will glitch or bug out, believing there is a road ahead of you, only for the car to drive over a cliff, crashing down into a fiery pit of destruction, with the passengers still inside! Such horrible, unexpected and shocking fates will kill unsuspecting "drivers" of these cars, only further proving that no matter how "adaptive" or "responsive" Artificial Intelligence reportedly becomes, there will always be some unexpected faults along the way. AI will lack basic sense and common knowledge in certain situations, likely driving somewhere you would never dream about going. Then there will be hackers, terrorists who purposely program the cars to drive into buildings and people! Sometimes the AI might lock you inside your own car by mistake, making it next to impossible to escape. What if AI becomes sentient and doesn't like being a "vehicle", taking out its rage on their owners instead? Making the electricity malfunction on purpose, shocking their owners on purpose, watching them fry through the security cameras inside the vehicle. So many awful and unbelievable things will go wrong, because the AI might be faulty or out of date. A dated car's AI may drive down roads that no longer exist or confuse a railway track with the motorway; racing straight into the thunderous rage of a speeding train! When this terrifying technology finally comes to market (which I am very afraid it will!), I will happily stick to my old, trusty, manual driving motorcycle. At least if I get into an automobile accident then, it will be my own fault for not being careful, rather than by the hands of either a faulty AI or (something far more terrifying) an AI hellbent on ending the human race! As of now, this is just a horror story, but in the next couple of decades, I predict this eerie, dark and brutal future may just become a horrifying and tragic reality! The self-driving cars will be made in hopes of reducing carnage, but I fear the result will have the complete opposite effect! So be afraid, be very afraid of... The self-driving cars!

The Witch Queen
Five years from now, the unthinkable will happen! That's right! Something nobody on earth would ever believe possible, the impossible in fact, would happen. It would be an astounding moment in human history, one where the world's of fantasy (which previously only existed in the minds of creative writers) would collide with the reality we all inhabit. How you may ask? How could the worlds of fantasy and reality collide?! Well, I'll tell you how, let me give you the ultimate scoop! Now, you've probably read many young adult novels, where the likes of Vampires, Werewolves, Wizards and Witches all exist in the modern world in secret. Hush! Hush! Well, what if I told you, dear reader, that those wild, imaginative and crazy worlds were actually real! Yes real! You'd think I was mad, wouldn't you?! You'd think I was either lying or genuinely coco for cereal! Yet the people of 2029 will say differently, yes they will! Because it will be then, in that year; the magical creatures once only existing in children's fantasy books would finally, terrifyingly, enter the real! For centuries there has been a secret war! One where wizard clans fought against each other and witches with devote followings would worship dark Lords, Kings, Queens and Demons! Oh it was scary! Even for those who unfortunately lived in those secret worlds of magic madness, hey if you're a fan of video games, well this may interest you; imagine fighting dragons! Ones dwelling in dark dens of filth and horror, well that might be fun in a game, but in reality, oh it is ultimately terrifying. The roar and thunder of dragon's breath is truly traumatic to witness, it makes the hairs on your skin jump like fireworks! Oh and the sight of such horrid beasts, that is most traumatising of all, for they have eyes of fire and evil! Rough, nasty skin like sand paaper and claws that could cut metal. Witnessing a real life dragon is something truly terrible and terrifying. So what if the skies of London had dragons? The sight would be wrong, oh so deeply unsettling and nightmarish; to see something so deeply ingrained in the realms of fiction come true? That my friends, would be a sight far too disturbing and uncanny for most to bear. Unfortunately for those living in 2029; it is a troubling truth, as dragons are quite a common sight to see over the horizon of London or New York City. To have a flying lizard creature reduce whole skyscrapers to fiery ruins is something the people of 2029 are more than used to! Imagine that, feeling like an evil, cruel dragon could just randomly drop acid-like lava on top of you out of the blue for seemingly no reason. Imagine feeling the roar of its voice raging through the skies like the ultimate thunderstorm! Oh, that would be so, so unsettling and creepy, your anxiety would be through the absolute roof! Yet, I have not even explained how the world of fantasy invaded reality so suddenly and cruelly. This horrifying reality came true when the darkest lord of them all, Lucien The Queen of Darkness, after many, many centuries of fighting against the good wizards and witches of underground London, she finally stood triumphant and ended her nemesis. This arch enemy of her's would usually be the protagonist of a fantasy book. Yet, in the future reality, the hero who stood against darkness failed! Oh so miserably did they fail! With this sudden death came an immediate change in society, Lucien made herself known to all those who walked earth. She was a devilish creature, one spawned from hell itself. Lucien was a relentlessly mean monster, one that would torment and torture the innocent souls of earth without warning or mercy! It all happened on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon, out of the blue and random. Workmen were finishing their jobs, driving home for dinner. Their wives were cooking stews and soups for the husbands homeward bound. The children of said families were just finishing school for the day too, and pensioners were sat by the lakes, feeding birds and ducks. All seemed well and peaceful enough for the regular folk. Then there was a tremendous roar, like that of a dinosaur's! Everyone in London looked to the sky and saw that it had suddenly turned a shade of red, but nothing like the pretty pinks of sunrise or sunset, this was a much darker and evil colour of hell. There were certain individuals out there who thought they had died and not gone to heaven! However, the truth was far more frightening, as it was the magical realm of Solaride which had somehow merged with our own plane of existence, this of course was Lucien's doing. She had found a way of invading other dimensions, after ruling over Solaride for years without resistance she would come to us eventually in 2029. It won't be a nice surprise, it will be a nasty shock for everyone. Her first action would be to make her presence known, using dark spells to hack into every TV on the planet, she would announce her arrival like some alien overlord from some horrifying invasion movie. Then we will see the likes of Zombies and Vampires rise from their graves, feasting on human beings! Werewolves will emerge every full moon; resulting in nightly mayhem, as police with silver bullets will be called to the scene. Many witch covens will surface, luring in gullible men with false mirages of beauty. Demons shape shifting as clowns and mimes will lure in children, only to devour them like some nightmarish monster out of some horror book. It would be hell on earth, all the while; Queen Lucien of Darkness, she will cackle and grin in delight, as the world we know it, crumbles at her feet! She will rule all the lands and seas too, even the ocean kingdoms (we don't know about yet) will surrender to her might. Eventually the world we once knew will look completely alien to those of you living in 2024, dark castles made of black stone will erupt from under our very feet and fire breathing dragons will burn all modern architecture to smouldering ruins! Our modern warcraft will be useless against this. By 2032, you'll believe it was 1032, as men and women would be reduced to rags and broken stones, building wood huts out of burnt trees. Everything we once knew and loved will come at a sudden and cruel end only five years from now. You'll see how wicked and terrifying Lucien can be, that her unmerciful nature has no limits, as she dismantles everything we non-magical people have spent centuries to build. It will be the ultimate horror story, one that is real and neverending. So try and make the most of your easy life while you can, because you'll soon see just how quickly and swiftly all of our creature comforts can be taken away from us.

Mars VS Earth
One thousand years from now; Earth will finally make alien contact with Mars! It will be an extraordinary day, one that had only lived within the minds of creative science fiction writers for over a Millennium. When describing aliens, people picture strange lanky creatures unlike any human on earth, with big bug eyes of black and large round heads in the shape of American footballs. I must disappoint you however, for Martians don't look much different than humans at all. Just like us, they have two eyes, but their pupils are much larger and are only black without colour, or perhaps a shade so dark it is impossible to see. They do have reddish skin however, looking a lot like a sun burnt English man on holiday to Barcelona, only they permanently have that skin tone of burnt flesh. Perhaps because they live so much closer to the sun, their skin evolved into the same colour as the sand below their feet. They do have snout-like noses, where their nose tips lean upwards slightly more than an earthling, making the women look rather cute and the men more boarish. Gravity is much lighter on Mars, so the species evolved to be much heavier than humans, so they don't float off into the vacuum of space. They are all built like Earthling body builders. They have spiky hair, much like that of an American punk band, only this is naturally grown, without needing gel to keep it stylised that way. Just like us, they have two legs and two arms, feet and hands too. Only they have seven toes on each foot, so they can better grip onto the planet's surface, because the lighter gravity makes it harder to stay grounded. They have four fingers on each hand however, lacking thumbs because their hands are shaped more like claws to better dig at the hard rock that covers Mars, using their long, tough nails to break away stone. Despite these minor differences, the Martians are very similar to humans, they stand upright and wear clothes to cover their private areas and even speak a language similar to our own. The reason why they are so much like humans became clear, as it was revealed that these were the descendants of lost astronauts who ended up on Mars after losing contact with earth. They at first lived in the manmade space shelters around the planet, never leaving their homes because they could not breathe the very thin, almost non-existent air outside. Eventually the children born on Mars could adapt to their new environment and hold their breath for unbelievably long periods of time, marching around Mars for hours without needing air, then eventually they didn't need astronaut helmets or oxygen tanks to survive on the thin air at all. I'm skipping over hundreds and hundreds of years of Martian evolution here, but that's how Humans evolved on this planet, eventually becoming almost too alien from Earthlings to be called Human, becoming the Martians I just described. This discovery was quite disappointing for some, because they genuinely thought the Martians were a new alien species, not just another human race that only looked a little bit different from each other. Yet, the fact intelligent life was on a different planet was still very exciting and everyone on Earth and Mars couldn't wait to build a utopian space colony together, one that would unite both worlds and hopefully together they could reach actual alien species from the likes of Jupiter or Venus.
