Every Single Weekend
What started off as a hectic preparation for a busy weekend ended as something I can only describe as a beautiful example of every single weekend. This past weekend consisted of me going to a loved ones wedding and a nerdy journey to a place that I love and cherish called GalaxyCon.

July 26th, 2010
At 6:30 p.m. on this day 13 years ago I was sitting in my bedroom getting ready to watch WWE Monday Night Raw. My dad suddenly woke up from a nap and came to get me out of my room and told me that we had to go somewhere. When I saw his face I was troubled by his expression. It seemed like he was disturbed or distraught about something and I didn’t know what. As we put our shoes on at the front door my dad received a phone call. I didn’t know who he was talking to, I just remember that he told them that he was on his way to “be with his daughter”. This immediately raised my suspicions and I began to get worried. I really wanted to know what was going on. As we got in the car with my anticipation to know what was going on building, my dad shut the car door and sharply said “Joe YOUR MAMA DIED!!!”. A painful shock heated me internally.

Why We Cry
We all know the feeling. That feeling of that painful strain that engulfs your cheek bones when you receive some distressing news.and then it happens. Your eyes water and clear wetness rolls down your cheek. They are called tears and come out of your eyes in heavy percussion once you start crying. As sentient beings crying is a natural function of our humanity, but why does this functioning exist?

Camp Crystal Lake
Friday, June 13th. It’s a great day for a weekend at Camp Crystal Lake. At least a group of four friends think so. Nick and Alice and Sean and Amy are headed to the camp for a weekend of summer fun. As they all ride down in their van they discuss how much they’re looking forward to their summer weekend.
