Cinderella
Growing up, I was obsessed with musicals and theatre in general. One of the first musicals that I saw was a theatrical version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, starring Donny Osmond. I knew every word by heart and dreamed of playing the role of the Narrator for years.

Trips
I don't remember going on many trips when I was growing up. With four children on a single income (plus what income my mom got from selling on eBay), there wasn't exactly tons of money to go around. Occasionally we'd visit family, but most of our outings were experienced closer to home.

The Things We Keep
If you've lived in one place for a long time and then moved, you know how easy it is to just accumulate...stuff. Sometimes it's good, useful stuff. Other times, it's things that you probably should have thrown away years ago, but thought that maybe you'd have a use for it. If you know anything about me, you know that being assertive is not high on the list of my natural traits. Despite my ability to be firm when working with students, adults are a whole new ballgame. But it's an important trait to have; one that I developed more at my second school.

Words Mean Things
One of the things that I've struggled with in my life is having pride in myself. I've been a bit of a people pleaser in my lifetime, so hearing others tell me that they're proud of me always lifts my spirits. I won't lie and say that hearing "I'm proud of you" from someone that I love doesn't motivate me. One of my highest love languages is words of affirmation, after all.
