Journey To Sobriety
Growing up, I heard the stories and saw the commercials telling you to "Just say no to drugs." I attended Red Ribbon Week at school and all the other anti-drug programs. I was raised in a household which had a zero tolerance policy for drugs. I remember thinking "I would never do drugs." But it turns out Justin Bieber was right when he said "never say never."

The Day After.. Content Warning.
I look at my phone. 6 AM. My eyes still sting with tears. It's only been 30 minutes since he left, but it feels like a lifetime. Everything around me looks blurry. I look down at my hands and notice they are still shaking. All I want to do is crawl underneath my covers and never come out. There's only one problem with that, though. My bed is the scene of the crime.

My Best Friend Ana
Let me tell you about my best friend, Ana. I first met Ana when I was 12 years old. Our friendship started off slow, but quickly grew into a connection I will never forget. Her voice was quiet at first, almost a whisper. She carried herself well. She always stood tall, and even though she was quiet, she spoke with such conviction. She was perfect, and I admired that in her.

My hair care journey has not been an easy one. My entire life, my frizzy, curly hair has been one of the main stars of my insecurities. It was either too thick, too frizzy, too thin at one point (due to health issues), or too dry. This led me on an 8-year curly hair and body acceptance journey. Today, I am bringing you along on my raw and honest journey to hair and body acceptance.
