Can All the Problems on This Planet Be Fixed?
We live on a planet with many problems including right-wing extremist patterns of thought. This is by far, the biggest problem we have on our hands, the rise of yet another fascist ideology. Now, ask yourselves, why haven’t we fixed this stuff yet? Why aren’t white supremacists in therapy? Why do we take police brutality without protesting it except NFL players who are criticized for taking a knee? If we try to formulate concrete solutions to our problems, we might get somewhere. All it takes is forming think-tanks to resolve problems on this planet.

I'm Done With My Shame Complex
I realize that I’m done with my shame issues. Here I have felt like I need to hide still, away from average people, hiding out my whole life. While because of 22q I have minor anatomical differences, I realize I’m good-looking. Feeling shame leads to feeling angry. Source. I’ve decided not to be as self-destructive anymore as I used to be with my alcoholism and caffeine addiction. I’m done feeling ashamed of myself, just because I think I need a therapist, which I have found, so don’t worry about that.

Why Pagans Believe in Psychic Ability
The term “psychic” is usually used in the secular world to denote a mental process “of the mind.” But in the world of pagans, it means something else entirely. A psychic uses their supernormal abilities to listen to things around them, from feelings to heartbeats. To be talented means that you have to guard yourself, not to reveal too much, because these talents are seen as dangerous by some Christian groups. There is such a thing as psychic archaeology, which is something I want to contribute to later on.

Plastic Straw Bans
The plastic straw ban has everybody in frenzy mode because some of us need straws. California is closer to a ban on plastic straws at full-service restaurants. Some scientists hope the idea will spread across the United States just like the plastic bag ban. That particular ban caught on in a very fundamental way. The vote passed 45-20. California is a major trendsetter as history has proven. The plastic bag ban happened in 2014 from Governor Jerry Brown. The plastic bag ban has succeeded somewhat since cloth bags are an easy replacement but straws are more difficult to just phase out.

Work From Home Jobs
Indeed is the most trustworthy website there is for work from home jobs. Legitimate work from home gigs exist sure, but not every website is legitimate. If you do not get a response from a website that promises work from home jobs, then that’s a scam. But if you get a response, the work from home job is real. Don’t buy it if companies send you a check pretending it is your money. Some prey on innocent people with this sort of scam as I was scammed like this last year. I believed the check was real, but the bank said it was fraudulent. I got my account back filing a police report on the culprit.

Don't Touch a Pagan's Magickal Tools
Pagans are protective of their tools. Athames, and sickles for one, they protect with their lives. Do not touch a pagan’s tool when in their house. Touching a pagan’s tools infects them with energy, so don’t touch a pagan’s tools without their permission. I know somebody in my family’s household who threw out all my mirrors, which were magickal tools. They also threw out my medals, once again, magickal tools. All of this happened without my permission. Once again, ask permission, because somebody was poking around through my altar. Tools are used to change the fabric of reality with our will.

How to See the Aura
Back in college, I’d walk at night on 19th avenue in San Francisco. I’d open my auric sight if it was dark enough, and I could see the whole street awash in astral colors coming from every person on the road, even those on the light rail. Every person on this planet can do what I can do. Nobody is exempt from this ability, it’s just that some people are born with it shut off, while I was born with all my abilities turned on since birth.

Restaurants That Recycle Food
With the way American food portions go, many restaurants used to just throw it away but there is a new movement now about restaurants giving away their food for free. A new app called Meal Connect leads to intercepting food that goes in the trash. Feeding America reaches the 42 million people in the United States that struggle to afford food for themselves. Low-income people like me count on food banks. I started using a food bank because I wanted to save money. It is something we low-income folks simply have to do. Feeding America has 200 food banks, and the application helps manage the steady flow of food from a restaurant to a person who can’t afford it.

Why UCLA Is the Right School for Me
UCLA is simply the right school for me, and that’s the bottom line as I have done some research. UCLA has many programs available although I’m not sure if I want a joint law/masters. I know I want an MBA. But well, first comes a plain old law degree. What I want to do is help mentally ill people get SSI or a job, since we have it pretty difficult when we look for jobs. I can take paralegal classes at De Anza until I enroll in UCLA.

How to Shake an Addiction
I had all three addictions. Coffee was a gradual event to quit while alcohol required a therapist I saw at the time. Sugar is the last one; I have quit this only recently. I mean quit anything with sugar, such as Chewy Chocolate Granola Bars. All I have are mini semisweet chocolate chips. I’m trying to get to perfect diabetes here, and sugar is not going to help. You see I’m a brittle diabetic. This means my blood sugars can rise and fall in unpredictable ways. As a talented schizophrenic, coffee would make me manic, which means my abilities would go out of control. In 2009, I was still a caffeine addict.

The Causes of Substance Abuse
Most drugs and alcohol use comes from the genes in the first place. There can also be a history of mental illness since the person who has drug and alcohol problems is self-medicating, like I used to do as an all around addict to caffeine, alcohol, sugar, and second-hand marijuana smoke. Childhood trauma can predispose one to substance abuse since the way to deal with all the C-PTSD flashbacks I used to have is related to how much alcohol I was drinking so that I could cover up my feelings. Peer pressure also causes somebody to fall off the wagon only because the group doesn’t think there is anything wrong with alcohol or drug abuse.

Why Homeless People Stay Homeless
The homeless problem in California will get worse before it gets better. Our high cost of living doesn’t help homeless people. They often choose the streets, despite the fact that 700 people die from hypothermia every year because of homelessness, according to NPR, Talk of the Nation, and the National Coalition for the Homeless.
