Edgar Cayce's Work
Edgar Cayce was a psychic person who lived from March 13th, 1877 to January 3rd, 1945. He worked via self-induced trance, and Cayce himself was Christian, and not a New Ager. Some feel he is the founder of the New Age movement of which I distance myself from because many of them are anti-medication and anti-Western medicine. I’m not just “manifesting” these experiences, this is a fact of life since I need to use Western medicine in order to survive. Cayce started an organization called the Association for Research and Enlightenment, which boasts of Edgar Cayce centers in more than 35 countries. Cayce had predicted many Earth Changes, a term he himself coined whereas many of these situations haven’t come about yet in the present.

The Work from Home Lifestyle
The work from home lifestyle does not give the user the ability to be a slob. You can still shower every day along with getting dressed although some people like to do the work from home lifestyle, which in their minds makes them able to be naked while working. Writing was the first work from home job. I studied creative writing in order to have the ultimate work from home job. Working from home doesn’t necessarily mean you can do whatever you want and it is, in fact, a huge responsibility.

Stress
I need to get my stress levels under better control. This week I’ve had a class at my job training school and somehow I have managed to get my stress under control all week, despite waking up a lot in the middle of the night this evening. Every night I hope to sleep. But 3:00 AM California time is really 1:00 PM Spanish time. That’s when they are busy eating their main meal. Spanish schedules are different. They do have a naptime at around 4:00 PM daily. This is one of the many reasons I do not live in Spain.

My Anxiety Is Everywhere and Nowhere
Green Man is a pagan deity who has gotten on my case about doing something with my life. He’s right; I need to do something with my life. But my knee injury is something I need to have better first, or maybe I can just push my way through my pain. Green Man is ancient. Yes, I have anxiety and he should take that into account before he pesters me to do something with my life some more. Green Man is a god of vegetation and plant life, in addition to ranting to me about doing something with my life.

Different Learning Styles
Visual learning is about seeing stuff. As a clairvoyant, I get to see a lot of different things in my dreams, visions or seeing auras in general. Auditory learners like to listen to tape-recorded lectures as one learning strategy that they can have. Verbal writing or speeches is another type of learning style. Physical learning involves using touch and your body to process information. Logical people use logic to reason about things, as well as systems. Social learning implies you learn in groups or with other people, solitary learners like me prefer to sit alone with books or using self-study methods.

Trance Channeling
Trance channeling influences my writing in a big way because I’m able to channel my work fully formed or at least in a state that requires less editing. I’m focused enough because of my medication to be able to channel my work, beginning, middle, and end. As a trance channel, I’m able to hear my work inside my head. My brain actually gives me the writing fully formed. These days, I’m able to hardly need to edit my pieces. I don’t need to edit or think too hard because I edit as I go along.

What Is Trance Channeling?
I have schizophrenia, but I’m also a trance medium. Trance channeling is a psychic ability in which mediums let a spirit communicate with their mind or a medium can, conversely, listen to the spirits around them in order to convey a message. There are several different kinds of mediumship, besides. Real trance states lead to a genuine bond between a spirit and a communicator. Trance symptoms include slowing of the heart rate, steady breathing, no rapid eye movement (REM), a lower body temperature, a reduced ability to feel pain, and various different levels of unconsciousness.

Insight on My Need for Meds
From the age of 12, I had insight as to why I needed medication. I’d see doctors at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital where they would help me manage my diabetes. There was enough proof even then that I was competent enough to care for myself even if my mother tried to find some excuse, a primordial need, to take away my legal rights to custody of myself while I was a child. Even as young as 10 I knew I needed medication, but I didn’t get my first set of meds until the age of 20.

The Disability Bullies
Back in high school, I was a hot mess from not having medication to help me at all. My family consistently denied me medication all four years of high school. I wish I’d had some so that my moods would have been less painful for non-magickal people to tolerate. My moods were everywhere, I was out of control, and I feel deeply embarrassed that my family just ignored my pleas for medication. I should have gotten myself on SSI but getting from one day to the next was pretty painful for me.

Putting Up a Front Is Dangerous
I’m very good at putting up a front so this is difficult to talk about out in the open, but I’ll do my best. Few know what it is like to grow up with an untreated disability, where my own family denied the fact I needed medication. In high school, I tried very hard to put up a front of positivity. I had no medication to help me stabilize my moods. It was hard to be so positive and smiley all time as I barely had access to therapy.

Change in My Academic Plans
I’ve decided that an M.S. in psychology is iffy right now. I want to get a law degree, sure, and I want to go to UCLA to study the public health program. I have to wonder how to prepare for the LSAT and the GRE despite the way I want to study archaeology instead of psychology as a Master’s. I also am wondering how I can get my MFA eventually, if necessary. I think my law degree is more important than an M.S. in psychology, but if I wind up getting enough units for that, then fine. I’m still debating what it is I really want academically.

Caffeine and Sugar Addiction
These addictions are the latest frontier in modern medicine as far as medicine is concerned. Caffeine addiction comes from a culture heavily saturated with caffeine and alcohol. Sugar addiction is the foundation for alcohol addiction in young children. If somebody is a sugar addict, they are susceptible to alcoholism in the future. All alcohol is fermented sugar after all. Caffeine addiction is something that has come about because of Starbucks being in every neighborhood. Sugar addiction has been present since the invention of sugar.
