Hai Van Gate - Welcomes Tourist
Hai Van Pass was constructed in the 7th year of the Minh Mang reign (1826), located at the summit of Hai Van Pass, at an altitude of 496 meters above sea level, part of the Bach Ma - Hai Van mountain range, in Lang Co Town, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province, and Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City. This place is not only known as the "First Grandiose Landscape of the World" but also holds significant cultural and historical value. It was a military fortress with various structures including ramparts, warehouses, barracks, and cannons. It was classified as a National Monument by Decision No. 1531/QD-BVHTTDL dated April 14, 2017, by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. This is also the only National Historic Site in Vietnam managed by two localities, Thua Thien Hue Province and Da Nang City.
