No Regrets
“Hurry, shut the trunk!” Sammy hollers from the front seat. The car is running, and the exhaust is hot on my leg. I shut it with one swift movement and bound to the passenger seat. My stomach is flipping over like I’m on one of those rides that shoots up and down, The Hollywood Tower of Terror, I think it is.

Un-Matched
Reid was exceptionally handsome. Tall, dark, and mysterious with the body of a god. I recall the day we met with perfect clarity. I can see the look he gave me from across the terminal. Those dark magical eyes undressing me. I didn’t mind. I wanted it, after all, it’s what I was doing to him. When he finally touched me, I felt a spark of magic that coursed through my body like fatal venom. I was his prey, rendered helpless for his consumption.

Rocket Launch
This wasn’t supposed to happen. We had the whole thing well-orchestrated in advance. But we’ve succeeded at moving incredibly off course. So much so that I don’t think we’ll recover. I’m waiting for the spin to settle so I can organize my thoughts but for now, they swirl like our rocket does. The inaugural launch of the Explore-Space vacation rocket was intended to orbit the earth for three days and return to earth. Instead, we are swirling out, into oblivion. We have a faulty engine and satellite interference to thank. Time to face facts.

Reset
“I think it is well beyond time for you to reset your password...” Attorney Charles Strom spoke from across his mahogany desk “…for everything, Ms. Janovsky.” He paused to look at me for what I could assume was dramatic effect, “Mr. Elliott will seek to do this again with any and every account he can, and if you don’t get this taken care of, we might have more to clean up next time.”
