The Donkey Lane Incident
The year is 1968 and although Kate and her friend were knee high to grasshoppers .. They had the freedom that today’s kids could only dream about.. todays kids would never ever be able grasp that Kate and her friend Marianne were walking down a very remote track on their own. Their parents did not know precisely where they were. No one thought anything of it back then. Kids knew how to safely cross a road, people were assumed to be trustworthy... so long as they were back by teatime and before it got dark.....what harm could possibly befall them?

The Date she once dreamed of...
Shirley sighed deeply as she gazed in the bathroom mirror. She would never have believed that her life was going to rocket by at the speed of light... and that she’d be trying and failing to deny the drooping brow and the turkey neck.

Behaving Badly or Hiding Pain?
There’s a saying in Scotland that goes something like this “A Fu’ man is a true man”. What that means in plain English is quite simply... your fellow human who has imbibed a vast amount of alcohol will eschew the niceties of social behaviour and show and or tell you exactly how it is. How they are.

The Dream Date Project
Deirdre didn’t date. She was, she supposed, what some described as a serial monogamist. She had been married to Derek for 13 years...a starter marriage would probably be the right term. Both parties had been testing out what they wanted in a marriage, and it turned out to not be each other. That probably happened because she didn’t date... not that she realised it at the time, she just saw Derek ticking most boxes... so he’d be the one.

Fat Thumbs
I couldn’t really believe what I was seeing.. my friend ignored me ... and worse. I seriously might as well have not have existed any more. We hadn’t had any disagreements .. but they were drinking themselves into oblivion for one thing, I was looking at them with fresh eyes, sceptical eyes.. and this was all happening at a point where we would probably never meet again well more accurately, rarely do so... it was therefore so so important to leave things well, and with gratitude. Because it had been a really sweet friendship.

Add to cart? Not to do so is a Challenge!
Ok I’m going to have to admit it, I’m a real shocker... I respond like Pavlov’s dog to the targeted ads that pop up almost eerily on Social Media, after I’ve just had a chat about, or I swear, even just though about something.
