28 Day Reboot
In February of 2024 I hosted a Poem a Day in February (PaDiF), complete with contests and prizes that went in the mail each week. While being caught up in that I had the idea to join a 28-day reboot, because I was getting behind on my housework and that is not only because of PaDiF.

New Form of Poetry for Me
The breccbairdne is an Irish quatrain form. Here are the basic guidelines: Quatrain (or four-line stanza) form. Five syllables in the first line; six syllables in the other three lines. Each line ends with a two-syllable word. Lines two and four rhyme. All end words consonate. Quick note: Consonance is the act of repeating consonant sounds. by Robert Lee Brewer

Poem a Day in February
February is a fun month for me! I started a Poem a Day in February (PaDiF) eight years ago. I have regulars that join in each year and a few new people each year as well. The last poem/rhyme contest was on Nature and there were 43 entries in that 6 days. It was tough to judge.

Nature Poetry Contest Winners
This is my eighth year of hosting a Poem a Day in February. During this month there are four contests. We held a rhyming and rhyming haiku contest the first week and a best Valentine poem/rhyme for week two. And for week three we looked for passion poems/rhymes.
