The Eiffel Tower Was Hated at First
It's difficult to think of a more iconic building than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It's an iconic landmark and is considered the second most recognisable building and landmark on the planet, only being beaten by the Statue of Liberty in New York. It's hard to imagine that what is today considered a symbol of Paris and romance was once hated. The Parisians would call it the "iron monster" and a "tragic giant lamppost," with writers and artists warning that building the tower would ruin the skyline and humiliate all the other monuments of Paris.

What Happened in Every Second of 2025
I think we can all agree that 2025 was an eventful year. Every day brought us closer to 2026, and despite being constantly bombarded with information, it is impossible to be aware of absolutely everything. In many ways, every second counted.

Are You an Otrovert? The New Personality Type
I’m sure you’ve heard someone describe themselves as either an introvert or an extrovert. Two personality types on opposite sides of the spectrum. The eccentric and outgoing extroverts and the quiet and mysterious introverts, it seems wherever we look society tells us we are either one or the other. This leads many of us to pick a side that we may not associate with completely but feels closest to who we are. Nothing in the middle.

5 Foods that Taste Better the Next Day
Lately I’ve started to make more food than I need so that I can enjoy the leftovers the next day. It’s time efficient and works well with my busy schedule. What I didn’t expect to find was that somehow certain foods tasted better the next day rather than on the day they were cooked. The flavours seem deeper, the textures mode delicate, and the overall quality of the dish wasn’t altered. Here are 5 foods that I’ve noticed tasted better the next day.

How Does Honey and Lemon Tea Help When You're Sick?
As I write this post, I’m lying in bed with a snotty nose and with what feels like a hedgehog doing backflips in my throat. I’ve officially fallen ill, and I feel miserable. The moment my family found out, almost like clockwork, they sprang into action.

What Came First: The Bible or Sausages?
If you're like me then welcome, curiosity must have gotten the best of you. We all know the infamous question "What came first, the Chicken or the Egg?" or "Why did the Chicken cross the Road?". These seemingly absurd questions keep me up at night. That is why, when I stumbled upon this question, I knew I had to know more. At first glance, it seems obvious that an ancient scripture such as the Bible must be far older than something as familiar to us as a sausage. But then, doubt begins to settle, and before you know it, curiosity takes over, and you end up clicking on a blog like this one to find out the truth. You're not weak, my friend, you are inquisitive.

What Every Cat Owner should Know About Their Cats Purr
Nothing beats the feeling of a cat curling up on your lap, settling down, and beginning to purr. It’s an amazing feeling. Something about the purr seems so soothing to us, and the cat seems to be having a good time as well. It’s no surprise then that we automatically associate the purring sounds with happiness and comfort. Originally, this post was going to explore how cats purr and what conditions are best for them to do so, however, it seems that there is more to purring than I thought. Let’s begin.

What Makes the Sky Blue? . Top Story - April 2025.
I don’t look up enough. When I do, I find myself in awe at how beautiful the sky is. It’s easy to go about our daily lives and accept it as just another constant. Today, I want to ask a question that many of us would have asked before, yet may not have found the answer – why is the sky blue?

How I Met the Show about Meeting Your Mother. Third Place in Guilty Pleasure Binge Challenge.
I will be the first to admit that I am the worst person to begin watching anything longer than twenty minutes. I tend to stay away from long films and series with lots of seasons as I am not particularly eager e one place for too long at any given time. When I begin watching something with my partner, I begin to get restless, and my attention soon diverts to something else. A couple of minutes later, I have entirely lost the storyline's plot, and before I know it, I have lost all interest in the show.

The Euro-trip of a Lifetime for my Little Sister. Third Place in Solo Trip Challenge. Top Story - December 2020.
To my Little Sister, As you may remember, during the summer after my first year at university I decided to do something grand. Something that many in the past saw as common practice, maybe even a priority during their academic years, that for some reason young people shy away from in the 21st century. I decided to plan the most intense Euro trip possible.
