Regarding the Trump presidency, a theory of its trajectory, and the potential outcomes within a four-year timeline— It’s safe to glean from the last 40 years that Trump is a person appears more concerned with himself and how the populous receives him than anything else. More than money, he craves attention. Right now, there are multiple forces at play, nearly equal in influence.

Era of Overstimulation
The commentary that has elevated lately on the supposed downturn in theater attendance and the alleged decline in the quality of films is not new, but does have new information to add to its merit. Yet, I don’t buy the idea that quality is on the downturn. Quite the opposite. In fact, I think we’re in an era where some of the best storytelling and filmmaking in decades are being produced. The problem isn’t with the films themselves; it’s with the sheer volume of distractions competing for our attention.

Darkness slushed onto her illuminate bare feet as she gazed helplessly onto a crumbling utopia dying before it had a chance to be called a home. Wake of the void would have sent a glacial shot of pain to her brain, but her mind was too numb to notice. She began to produce a tear.

Everhere, Neverthere
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But they can hear me dancing. Dancing with my daughter in her bedroom, with our sock-covered feet softly scuffing across the hardwood floor, smiling as my paternal admiration fell onto her sparkling blue eyes. With a gaze and an understanding beyond her years, she buried her head into my stomach and embraced me tighter than I’d ever known her to do. It was almost as if she was saying goodbye. Mystified by the spear of endearment, it hit me like the weight of the universe, and my heart ached to show her the same. My eyes welled and I hugged her just as tightly. Possibly the best day we’ve ever shared, a full day for all of us; her mother, now comfortably reading a book in our bedroom, and I, with the most beautiful being we’ve ever known. It was the life I had dreamed to have, I don’t even know how I got it.
