Hermit

The Willing
"Where's Schulz?" A student sitting ahead of me asks this question with real outrage. We have all been waiting for about twenty minutes for the lecture to begin, and there is no sign of the professor, Dr. Schulz. The crowd is predictably thin, as has become customary for in person classes since the pandemic. A quick look around confirms that about half of the forty humans on the books are present. I'm Schulz's TA, so I keep track of the numbers. He's never interested.
