Even More Steampunk Graphic Novels for Fans to Read
'Bitter Root' by David F. Walker, Chuck Brown, Sanford Greene, Rico Renzi, and Clayton Cowles Bitter Root follows members of the Sangeryes family who hunt monsters in Harlem in the 1920s. It also embodies one of my favorite things ever: diversity in steampunk. (See my Book Review: 'Everfair' by Nisi Shawl for more.)

Graphic Novel Review: Victorian Undead: Sherlock Holmes VS Zombies
During the month of October, I like to get into the spooky spirit by watching monster movies, listening to haunting music, and reading horror comics. Being a steampunk writer, I was delighted to find that two of my interests perfectly intersected in the form of the graphic novel Victorian Undead: Sherlock Holmes VS Zombies.

Le Griffon
The black water of Lake Michigan lapped gently at the shore. It was the night of the new moon, and while the stars shone like cold gems against black silk, it was the orange glow of the campfire on the sand that provided most of the light. It flickered on the faces of the three children and one adult huddled there, sending shadows dancing and twisting around their features.

Book Review: Stitched Lips: An Anthology of Horror from Silenced Voices
Tired of the same old thing? So much of what we read is homogenous. Far too often, the people whose voices we need to hear most are silenced by the louder ones of the majority. STITCHED LIPS pushes back on that. Within these pages, you'll find eleven staggeringly original and well-crafted horror stories, from amazing authors who are People of Color, LGBTQ+ folks, and writers who identify as women. All profits from this anthology will be donated to the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization whose goal is the advancement of human rights for all people.

#SpookyTunes Year One
“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” ―L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables It's here at last, friends! Fall. October. The Spooky Season. October is my absolute favorite month. I live in Michigan, where the leaves really put on a glorious show. This is also my birthday month, so I might be a tad biased, but you have to admit, October is pretty awesome.

I Swear
I wrote this poem a long time ago about a friend that I had grown suddenly very close to. We had a strange relationship where everyone (even total strangers who saw us together) told us we'd be the perfect couple, and we cared for each other very much, but romance never came together for us. Not too long after I wrote this poem, I moved across the country, which is something I needed to do for my own sanity and personal growth.
