CFL Week 16 Recap: Enough is Enough
Swept by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. What fresh hell is this?! I was amped for this game because, well, we picked up a much needed win in Vancouver on the previous week, so I figured we'd go on a roll. A proper playoff push that could see good things for the Boatmen. We were at home against the Tiger-Cats. OK. It's our turf. We can salvage a win, pick up a game in the playoff chase, and continue our roll.

Top Scoring Players on Fantasy Football (Week 3)
Week 3 was such an amazing week for me on Fantasy Football! I'm in eight leagues this year, and after winning three matchups in Week 1 and four in Week 2, I won six in Week 3. Two of my eight teams are 3-0 this year, and while some others may be struggling a tad, it is early. However, while the actual NFL season is a short one, the Fantasy Football season is even shorter.

The Twisted Tale of the Real Life Inspiration for "Mother Knows Best"
As I said before, it amazes the hell out of me that people would be willing to pay to have someone knocked off. It's never chump change, either. Some people are insane enough to fork over loads of moolah just to have a person eliminated. And as I mentioned before in a previous story, the murder-for-hire stories I've heard about usually see women carry out these nefarious plans. The plot of the telefilm, Mother Knows Best, centered on a murder-for-hire scheme, and I had seen this film a few times. It's quite a delicious thriller, but I didn't know until about a few years ago that this was actually based on a true story.

Phillies' Postseason Streak Continues with Division Title
You know, a small thing that fascinates me: I do love that out of all of the MLB teams who wear red, it's the Philadelphia Phillies who use the "Hunt for Red October" title to describe their postseason push. I think they're the only "red" team who do this. I want to say I remember the Angels doing this during their 2002 run, but I don't think so. So yeah, the Phillies are on quite a streak, and to think, it all started with the team firing Joe Girardi during the middle of the 2022 season.

NFL Week 3 Recap: Hindsight is 20/20...Unless You're Jerry Jones
Oh, Dallas Cowboys. Why are you...well...you? So the Cowboys remained at home for the second straight game, and this time, they welcomed a Baltimore Ravens team who desperately needed a win. I figured that the Ravens would have a tough time with the Cowboys, but at halftime, Baltimore was up 21-6. It ended up becoming a 28-6 lead later on. Though we would see the Cowboys make a big time comeback--19 unanswered points--but it was not enough. The Ravens won, 28-25, their first win of the season. While the Ravens' season was saved, the Cowboys were embarrassed again at home. They've given up 120 points in their last three home games (dating back to last year's playoffs), but the glaring problem was Dallas' running game: it didn't exist.

You know, a lot of crazy shit in sports happened in the 1980s. The Islanders and Oilers dynasties, the rise of the San Francisco 49ers, the NBA hit the state of Florida, the Raiders moving to Los Angeles--and later winning the Super Bowl. You name it, it's happened. Baseball was no different. A Look at the Recent Wave of Women's Wrestling Factions
I love women's wrestling with a passion, and I have been really happy that it has continued to evolve in recent years. However, while we have seen more screen time for the women, longer matches, better angles, and epic elevation, the development still didn't include a number of actual factions. We have seen alliances, but I'm talking about factions. It takes at least three to make a faction (alternately known as a stable).

Guardians of the AL Central Galaxy
For the Cleveland Guardians, the 2023 season did not go well. 2022 saw them finish first in the American League Central, and they would fall one win short of playing for the pennant. 2022 was also the team's first year playing as the Guardians, and while it looked like they would dominate the Central every year, 2023 saw them take a bit of a nose dive. A third place finish and 76 wins, finishing 11 games behind the Twins in the division.

It was a typical night in the career of the woman known to many as "IMAX," a pop diva whose talent and singing chops match her popularity. She had just given yet another performance in front of a huge crowd, performing four of her biggest hits and leaving to a big applause and chants of her name. CFL Week 15 Recap: Just What the Doctor Ordered
The final one-third of the 2024 CFL season got underway in Vancouver, the home of the upcoming 111th Grey Cup. The Toronto Argonauts have designs on making that trip to Vancouver their first of two this season, but we have had major problems lately. My last recap saw me absolutely rant about the Argos' struggles, as well as Chad Kelly being back so soon. Even so, I was on the optimistic side when it came to the Argos' trip to Vancouver to face the BC Lions.

Top Scoring Players on Fantasy Football (Week 2)
Week 2 was a tad better for me than Week 1 was in Fantasy Football. After winning three of my eight matchups on Week 1, Week 2 saw me win half of my matchups, and two of my teams are 2-0. Quite a few key fantasy performances took place during Week 2, and they really made some owners very pleased. Well, unless they were playing against them, then they were probably tearing their hair out and saying that their season was over.
