NFL Week 11 Recap: About Damn Time. Top Story - November 2024.
For the 52nd straight season, the 1972 Miami Dolphins can pop the champagne. The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the central game of Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season, doing so by a score of 30-21. This was a game were the Chiefs were lost for the most part, which had been the case in a lot of games this season. However, unlike past weeks, the Chiefs could not stumble their way out of this, especially with Travis Kelce being a ghost in this game, and Patrick Mahomes adding two more interceptions to his total for this year.

A Look at the Real Life Case That Inspired Lifetime's "Nobody Dumps My Daughter"
The true crime gems from Lifetime in 2024 have been quite delicious, mainly because of the stories used in the films, as well as the casting. The casting in these pieces have given me hope for potential villainess casting in future thrillers, but more on that later. Let's get to the topic of this story, a recent Lifetime true crime retelling that I had been looking forward to for several months: Nobody Dumps My Daughter.

111th Grey Cup Recap: Ni-Ni-Ni-Nineteen
The date: November 17, 2024. The city: Vancouver, British Columbia. 13 days before the city would host this year's Survivor Series, they would play host to the 111th Grey Cup, which featured the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. These two teams are quite familiar; they met in the 109th Grey Cup just two years ago. As we recall, that year, the Bombers were trying to three-peat as Grey Cup Champions, but that night in Regina, Saskatchewan ended with the Boatmen victorious, 24-23. For the Argonauts, we were looking to win our second Grey Cup in three years. As for the Bombers, they had a dynasty to fight for. Fifth straight Grey Cup appearance, won the first two, but that third one has eluded them for two years now.

Reinforcements
It was a happy day for fans of the Colorado Avalanche. The team won all three games in this homestand at this point, and it was finally happening: the key players are coming back. Miles Wood had been sidelined for a bit, but he was coming back. A bigger one was Jonathan Drouin, he had been out for pretty much the whole season. Drouin was part of our top line with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen, and he had quite the first season with the Avs last year. Him being back is a huge boost.

The Road to the WWE Women's United States Championship Begins
On the evening of November 8, 2024, we finally got what we had been begging for. Well, half of it. On that night's SmackDown, Nick Aldis, the blue brand's General Manager, announced the addition of the Women's United States Championship, unveiling the new title during his presentation. We fans had been clamoring for this for years. The female population in WWE's roster was growing rapidly. It was time for mid-card championships for the women's division. This should have happened much sooner, but at least it's happening now.

Top Scoring Players on Fantasy Football (Week 10)
Well, we have arrived, folks! The home stretch of the Fantasy Football season began on Thursday; remember, a standard Fantasy Football regular season last 15 weeks (14 in some custom leagues). Beginning with Week 11, it's a push for the playoffs, and it usually close to trade deadline time, depending on the league's settings. Week 10 was the final week before this pivotal moment of the season, and it was quite a delicious one for some fantasy owners.

Moose Tracks
The Colorado Avalanche's four-game homestand reached the halfway point, and so far, so good. The Avs are coming off a very awesome overtime win over the Nashville Predators on Veterans Day, and now, we were on TNT and still at home against the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings are on quite a good start this season, they've been straddling the first place fence for a good bit, and they've had quite a good start to this season.

WWE Villainess Blown Opportunity(?): Two Chances to Turn Dana Brooke Heel
It's not just Lifetime and Tubi who miss out on creating some good villainesses. Wrestling has made some missteps as well. There are some that I get over easily, and some others that just anger me. This, TBH, is part of the former; I'm not upset that we didn't get this, but it still would have been amazing. I remember when WWE randomly paired Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose together, and yes, it was random. It was during the Thunderdome period, and Mandy was coming off the end of her partnership with Sonya Deville, which ended with the revelation that the evil Sonya attempted to sabotage Mandy's budding relationship with Otis, resulting in Mandy's face turn.

Breaking Away
The Colorado Avalanche's form has returned in grand fashion, as the team is coming off a huge win over the Carolina Hurricanes--a win that saw the Avs score five goals in the second period. The Avs are maneuvering victories; something we saw a lot in the last three years with this team, and we took that to our second game of this four-game homestand. In this go-around, it was a Division Rivalry meeting against the Nashville Predators--the second meeting between the two clubs in less than two weeks. The first meeting did not go so well for the Avs, who looked to rectify that in this second go-around.

Villainess Review: Nicola Caruso (Matlock)
When I heard about the Matlock reboot many months ago, I was all in from the get-go. For the life of me, I don't know why people diss reboots. "Hollywood can't think of any original ideas," they always say. I have news for you: nothing in TV and movies is an original idea. Everything comes from something else, or somebody else. Here's how I see reboots. I think today's generation watched the older generation's shows and movies, liked it, and then curiosity set in. "What would it look like now, with a different cast?" That's how the reboots came in.

111th Grey Cup Playoffs: Division Finals Recap
And then, there were two. The second Saturday in November featured the Division Finals, the last step before the big game, the Grey Cup. This game introduced the first place teams to this year's playoffs: the Montreal Alouettes and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers--the same two teams who faced off in last year's Grey Cup. Would we see these same two teams back in the big game again? Let's find out, shall we?
