The Lake
Walking around the lake, I stumbled along the rocky shoreline. The large rocks made it very difficult to walk around the gorgeous lake. The fluffy, white clouds reflected in the lake, and I took the view all in. It was breathtaking. The ripples in the water made me want to take a swim. I hesitated on that thought though as I did not have my swim suit along with me. I inhaled deeply, the smell of the lake water and the fresh greenery was intoxicating. It was beautiful. I gazed at the scene before me and noticed the house on the shoreline.

My 300th Story. Top Story - September 2024.
Wow...My 300th story. I cannot believe that I have been writing on Vocal for almost four years now. The amount of growth that I have gone through as a person since I first started writing on this platform is insane to me. I don't resonate with a lot of my writing anymore as I am not the same person that I was back then when I first started publishing online. I joined Vocal for the challenges, and yes I may never win one, but I am still very proud of myself for trying anyways.

Grandma
My grandma just passed away this past week. She died from lung cancer. Never smoked a day in her life. It hasn't even been a year since she was diagnosed. It feels like a hole was punched through my chest. I've been struggling with my words for quite a few days now, but she always encouraged me to write so here it goes.
