No More Black Books

Moleskin’s True Colours Poetry Challenge

By Chloe GilholyPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Moleskin had enough of reading little black books.

“Enough!” Moleskin roars. “Give me all your true colours!”

I must pour my neon soul upon these pages,

To record golden memoirs that will last ages.

Vocal bestowed me with a never ending scroll

To flood with rainbows, identity and spirit.

With an army of writers, I take this blue road,

With hope that I will not end up like the red toad.

I see the world through pink, green and silver filters:

My holy trinity and my favourite colours.

Matcha lattes and strawberry milk in steel cups.

The delicious aesthetics are true pick me ups.

In everything I do, I do for my own sake.

Take me down, strip me, you will see that I’m no fake.
