In an industry where characters are axed and or recast Kurth has been doing double duty on two of the four remaining soaps. He began his career in 1987 when he was cast in the role of Justin Kiriakis the nephew of Victor Kiriakis (John Anniston) on Days of Our Lives.

General Hospital rumor: Hayden Barnes is a big topic Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Buddig) has got to be the most talked-about former General Hospital character since Tyler Christopher left his role of Nikolas Cassadine. For 2 and 1/2 years from early in 2018 until near the end of 2020, there were rumors and spoilers suggesting that Christopher would return or there would be a recast. Buddig has now made a public statement regarding her character that should satisfy fans at least for now.

General Hospital: Fans are delighted about Martin and Lucy
It's been a while on General Hospital since Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) has had a serious relationship but now it looks like there might be hope. Last week Lucy ended up in bed with Martin Grey ( Michael E Knight) and delighted in her walk of shame the next morning in front of Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Linstrom). Martin is new to Port Charles and all that is known about the attorney is that he is the sibling of Laura and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

The Young and the Restless: Art does not imitate life The recent breakup of Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos on General Hospital} and Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra Y&R and B&B) might be the biggest factor of why The Young and the Restless will not put real-life couples together on screen. Although Dueel and Hope were not working together their breakup after 5 years of dating and 2 months of marriage is big news. Imagine if they were on the same soap and their characters were dating or married. This could be pretty awkward as two soap veterans can attest to.

General Hospital: Charlotte gets a new face On Tuesday, December 21 General Hospital fans were stunned to see a new actress in the role of Charlotte Cassadine that Scarlett Fernandez held for 5 years. Even more confusing was the fact that Scarlett announced on Instagram in October that she was happy to return to the ABC soap after a bike accident and now 2 months later she is out. Soaps in Depth has revealed that Amelie McLain will now portray Valentin Cassadine's (James Patrick Stuart) daughter.

General Hospital: Brick is in hiding Since the return of Sonny Corinthos) Maurice Benard and the exit of Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) on General Hospital there is one character who should have been in the loop but has not been seen. This would be Brick (Stephen A Smith) who was instrumental in helping Jason escape from Port Charles and go on the run with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) told Brick to go into hiding after he shot and killed the assassin that was sent to take out Jason.

Days of Our Lives: Missy Reeves is back Melissa Reeves began portraying Jennifer Horton Devereaux in 1985 on Days of Our Lives. She has long been a fan favorite and is one-half of the super couple Jack Devereaux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer. Reeves will return for the holidays on Friday December 24 but her come back is marred in controversy. The actress has like social media posts from Candace Owens and several of her daytime castmates have spoken out against it and implied that Missy Reeves is racist and homophobic.

Days of Our Lives shocker: Lucas is as evil as EJ No one in Salem takes Lucas Horton (Brian Datillo) seriously but he is proving as psycho as the rest of his family. He found out on Tuesday that his brother Phillip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) framed Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) for his murder. Lucas made a confession of his own when he admitted that he was the one who was responsible for Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) being kidnapped. Some DOOL viewers suspected this all along and they were correct. These two apples have not fallen far from the tree as their mom Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) has pulled a lot of dirty stunts in her day.

General Hospital shocker: Scarlett Fernandez is out on short notice Scarlett Fernandez was injured in a bike accident during the summer but announced in October that she was returning to GH. In an Instagram post, the young actress said the following: “You have no idea how happy this made me!” “I love this place, I love the people, and I love being Charlotte". "It’s been five years of playing her and I have loved every day!” Now only two months later fans found out that Fernandez was replaced.
