The Danger Signal
I was standing on my doorstep trying to find my keys in the torrenting rain that had been pouring for at least an hour and a half. I thought that I'd placed them in my pocket, but they weren't there. Out of desperation I kneel on the soaking-wet concrete of my doorstep, and search through my bag, swearing and cursing out of frustration. After ten minutes of searching and getting another drenching, I finally find them.

The Mysterious Gift
I apply the final touch to the small Christmas tree, then switch on the lights. The tree is only small, but as a newly single mother, it is all I can afford. I observe the two small bags of wrapped presents under the tree there aren't many, but I know that Charlotte and Rose will be grateful for them. There are only three presents each in the bags, that is the price families pay nowadays for being on a low income.

Creativity
Lilly sat on the beach watching the waves on the sea. Her mummy had bought her a bucket and spade, though she was only five years old, and she wasn't sure how to use them. Lilly's bright blue eyes sparkled and her beautifully soft, long, light brown hair blew gently to the rhythm of the sea breeze. She was thoughtful for a while, carefully observing the other children building sand castles on the beach. She watched them carefully lift the sand with their spades, emptying the sand into their buckets, then patting the sand down and tipping up the bucket, then patting the bottom of the bucket; finally, she saw them carefully lift the bucket away from the sand castle, revealing a beautiful masterpiece.

The Swirl: Chapter One
The night was quiet and chill as I stepped off the midnight train that had just brought me home from a very long shift at the Trayton Organization in Trayton Fields. My work was top secret as we studied the mysterious ongoings of the universe, including what was known as 'Black swirls.' The company knew they existed, though we weren't allowed to announce it to the world because Mr. Stevenson, the boss was afraid that it would cause unwanted panic in the streets. I, on the other hand, had never witnessed these swirls as he called them, and neither had my colleagues who worked night and day to unravel the weird mysteries of this universe.

In a Secret World
Robin spread her tiny fairy wings and lifted her dainty feet off the ground. The fields smelled of thousands of sweet violets and beautiful Jasmine, mixed in with the wonderful smell of sweet grass and various other plants. The air was wonderful, and the fragrance smelled like a million flowers and grasses were dancing all around her. She fluttered to a beautiful blooming red rose and inhaled the wonderful, sweet, and fragrant alluring aroma. She twirled mid-air as a million beautiful and fiery fireflies danced a showcase of their wonderful, soft, glowing lights which lit up the whole fields. She followed their rhythm, dancing upwards, across, twirling, and then landed on a little maple leaf for a rest.
