Jasmine blooming and birds are singing,

O'er blue skies and sweet green vales.

The valley below me dances as summer

is awakening.

Moonlight, Don't you dare wake me up;

Winter begone!

The sweet smell of doughnuts,

Children playing on the beach,

Oh! how it fills my heart with such

Sweet things.

Dolphins perform antics for all to see,

While the fishes dance in the sea.

Moonlight, don't you dare wake me up;

Winter begone!

Suddenly the moon laughs,

An ice-cold laugh.

How dare he taunt me!?

How dare he wake me from my sweet dream!?

That awful moon looks at me

Still laughing.

He turns to me and says,

"Hush now darling. Go back to your sweet dream;

Summer will be here if you sleep for an eternity!"

I sleep once more, and the moon,

He disappears!

"How dare he?" I whisper,

Then my eyes close.'

Winter is gone,

'Tis now summer!
