My Review of "The Boys: Season 2"
The Boys: Season 2 starts off just where it ended off last season. In the first season Hughie and the rest of the gang are running off as fugitives. Their fearless leader had disappeared to find his estranged wife raising his enemies child. Homelander seemed to be pretty much unstoppable by the end of that season. It was kind of a really bleak ending but yet it still contained so much potential. That's why this cliffhanger worked so well.

My Review of "Match.com"
With this global pandemic it's natural to feel lonely and secluded. I decided that it was time to meet someone new. My ex had broke up with me 6 months ago and I've been reeling about it for long enough. It was time to take matters in my own hands and take hold of my own destiny. Or so that's what I thought when I dived into the app.

My Review of "Jexi"
Jexi is a Amazon Prime exclusive movie that came out back in 2019. The whole movie kind of reminded me of a comedic version of the movie Her that came out back in 2014. Ultimately these films are miles apart from one another but there are some similarities between the two that I couldn't deny.

My Review of "Holidate"
Holidate probably came out at the perfect time for Netflix. Halloween is upon us and that means a whole slew of holidays are coming up. Being quarantined a lot of us miss being with groups of people let alone being on horrible dates. I'm sure some of us wouldn't mind going on horrible dates at this point in time. This movie talks about the opposite.

My Review of "Ma"
Ma came out in 2019 and it seemed like a very interesting movie. I unfortunately didn't get to see the movie until now. It turned out to be the movie that I kind of expected it was going to be. That's not necessarily a bad thing either. It's an interesting yet predictable movie that people can get behind. They added a few sprinkles of social commentary and made a pretty decent movie.

My Review of "Bram Stoker's Dracula"
Bram Stoker's Dracula is a visual marvel even to today's standards. There's a lot that they did in this movie that you just don't see in movies nowadays. The attention to detail and general art direction is fantastic. Still that shouldn't be the sole reason why you go watch this movie. You should go see it because you genuinely love vampire movies. It's got this old school feel that not everyone will appreciate.

My Review of "Snatchers"
Snatchers came out quietly in 2019. I never heard of this movie until it started streaming recently. It's too bad because it's actually a half decent movie that I think would have done fairly well if it had more marketing. There's some interesting messages that come into play that they twisted to make a bit of a horror movie and you can tell they had a ton of fun doing it on the set.

Capitalism and Our Eating Habits
We all know that we live in a capitalist society. When we think of capitalism we usually think money but there's more to the concept than money. The key element of the meaning of the word is the key to why we all overeat. It's also the reason why we sometimes eat so horribly. A lot of us can't really help it. We're drawn to food like a drug but maybe it's because of the way we're brought up. Now that we know more about our motivations, it's time to change some of our thought processes.

My Review of "John Wick: Chapter 2"
John Wick: Chapter 2 came out back in 2017. It was a bit of a surprise that it came out but it wasn't at the same time. I don't think the movie studio expected the first movie to do quite as well as it did because this movie took 3 years to come out after the first. Still the first one ended off pretty open ended and warranted a sequel. We just never thought it would actually come out.

My Review of "John Wick"
John Wick came out in 2014 and I have bought a number of versions of this movie. I first watched this movie on DVD but then I bought the movie on Blu-ray because I loved the step up in visual resolution. Now in 2020 I had to see what this movie would be like in 4K and I wasn't disappointed.

My Review of "Brightburn"
Brightburn is a movie that came out back in 2019 and I'm surprised as to how it isn't as popular as it should be. Seeing as the Superman franchise is so popular it should have been a shoe in for this movie to make it big because it is basically a retelling of the origin story of Superman but with a big twist. Instead of a good Superman we get an evil Superman, plus the movie is changed to a horror movie.

My Review of "Skyscraper"
Skyscraper came out in 2018 and it stars Dwayne Johnson. It can easily be misidentified as another movie he had made back in 2015 called San Andreas. There are some similarities but ultimately they are entirely different movies. San Andreas dealt with a whole city falling apart whereas this movie dealt with one falling building. The similarities lie in the main character's focus throughout the movie.
