My Review of "Hillbilly Elergy"
Hillbilly Elergy is a pretty intense movie that jumps timelines but still works. the timing of my viewing was kind of weird because I had just recently watched the movie "Honey Boy" on Prime. The similarities between the two movies were quite astounding.

My Review of "The Queen's Gambit"
The Queen's Gambit is probably one of the most talked about series on Netflix this holiday season. It just recently came out at the end of 2020 and absolutely everyone has been raving over it so I thought I'd give it a shot. There's a lot of very cool moments and the pacing is great but it all seemed a little familiar. Then I realized it closely resembles the sequences of a lot of my favorite anime's and Manga comics.

My Review of "I Am Woman"
I Am Woman is a biopic of the singer Helen Reddy. Admittingly, before watching this movie I had no idea who Helen Reddy was. I've only heard one of her songs through a Simpsons' episode a long time ago but didn't understand the full impact she had on society. Luckily this movie was made to make me aware of all of the positive impacts that Helen had in the world.

The many things to be thankful for
As bad as 2020 has been around the world I have to be thankful for a number of reasons. Sure there have been a ton of bad things that had happened in the year. I know there are a lot of people suffering and I even had a huge break up earlier in the year. Still I have tons of things to celebrate.

My Review of "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past"
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is a romantic comedy that came out back in 2009. Seeing as it's not that long ago, watching this movie will make you realize how fast societal norms have changed in such a short time. There are a ton of antics and phrases that people use in this movie that would not be acceptable today but like many movies of this era you watch them for face value.

My Review of "Aladdin (1992)"
Aladdin the animated movie from 1992 is a classic Disney animated movie. It's so popular that they decided to make a live action remake in 2019. It's been so long and I don't know why it's taken me this long to finally see it. I remember that it was popular when I was a kid but I never got to watch it. It kind of slipped through the cracks for almost 30 years. Luckily, I finally got the chance to watch it.

My Review of "Hustlers"
Hustlers came out in 2019 and I think people overlooked this movie because of the wrong reasons. It looks like a run of the mill crime movie about stripper. In a way it is but if you watch the movie, you'll realize there are layers to this crime movie that you wouldn't really think about. Even crazier is that this movie was loosely based off a true story.

My Review of "Kevin Hart: Zero F**ks Given"
Kevin Hart: Zero F**ks Given comes out at a time when quite frankly we need it. It's sort of similar to his last outing Kevin Hart: Irresponsible. I was a little worried about that. I wasn't a huge fan of his last outing but it seems he's come back to form for me. At least I could relate more to the material that he delivered in this special than the last one. I think the last special had more of a parental feel that I couldn't really relate to as a single person. This one had more of a general understanding that I could get with.

My Review of "The Spy Who Dumped Me"
The Spy Who Dumped me is a comedy that came out in 2018. It's got a lot of clever moments that I wished they would push more for but ultimately I found that the movie was a little uneven. That's not to say that you can't have some variety in a movie, it's just that some of it is too out of place.

My Review of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion"
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion is an HBO exclusive that came out of nowhere. It has a lot of interesting stories that even the most hardcore of Fresh Prince fans would want to hear about. Hearing it from the horses mouth gives this episode a lot more weight and quashes rumors. It's an almost 2 hour episode that feels like it was just a half hour show.

My Review of the "PlayStation 5"
The PlayStation 5 came out February 12, 2020. The thing is that the hype of this machine started way back in 2019. A lot of people had highly anticipated this machine and it was a no brainer that it was going to be sold out the minute it was put on the shelves. Of course with the pandemic it wouldn't even be put on the shelves, the only way to get it is if you order it online.

My Review of "Peppermint"
Peppermint came out back in 2018 but now that it's airing on Netflix it's starting to get the viewership that it deserved in the first place. It's a pretty brutal action flick that is formulaic but the actors sell the movie quite well. For me it is a very comforting formula where I know what's going to happen but I can't wait for the things to fall into place.
