My Review of "Kate"
Kate is one of Netflix's latest action films to come out in 2021. I was a little at odds with this movie because it looks like another Last Samurai movie. It had white savior written all over it especially since it's story takes place in Japan. The weird thing is that this movie takes itself seriously and is somewhat aware of itself at the same time.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is a movie that I remember not liking when I was a child. Later in my teenage years I re-watched the movie and discovered it was a really good. Now in my older years I wanted to test it out and see how I thought of it with today's climate of political correctness in mind.

My Review of "American Ninja Warrior: Season 13 (2021)"
American Ninja Warrior: Season 13 (2021) is the latest ANW season and boy was it a doozy. There were a number of new faces and tons of familiar faces. That goes the same with all of the obstacles that they placed for our competitors. It was so nice to have this show back with an audience. Little things like this makes me feel a little normal again after this whole pandemic.

My Review of "Kid 90"
Kid 90 is like a time capsule of the past. There's so much nostalgia in this movie yet that's not what they're aiming at. Most of the nostalgia comes from the former child stars of the past that make cameos in this film. Instead it's a very open story of the life and times of Soleil Moon-Frye who played Punky Brewster back in the 80's. I for one had no idea she was video taping everything she was doing in the past. Watching this movie we understand that she was way ahead of her time.

My Review of "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings"
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is Marvel's latest movie entry to phase four of their infamous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). There have been rumblings about this movie for a long time. I think ever since Black Panther had come out there were cries out for an Asian Marvel superhero. We finally have him and his name is Shang-Chi.

Why People Don't Want To Be Your Mentor
I have been noticing lately that there have been a lot of talk about mentorship and learning from your elders. This is kind of a recent phenomenon but it's always been around. It's a great way to build your skills and learn from learned experiences. The problem is that not everyone wants to be a mentor for many reasons.

My Review of "Cruella"
Cruella is the live action movie about the villain of 101 Dalmatians. I wasn't too sure if I wanted to watch this movie because I wasn't a huge fan of the 101 Dalmatians cartoon. It wasn't my cup of tea but a friend of mine said that I had to give it a try. They said that the movie had great art direction and that I'd be surprised. That my friend sounds like a challenge that I'm willing to take.

My Review of "Promising Young Woman"
Promising Young Woman is a movie that I heard through the grapevine but never seen that much coverage in media. It's a little surprising since there are quite a lot of bigger actors in this movie. I went into the movie with very little knowledge of the movie and to be honest that's the best way to watch it. The less you know the better because the suspenseful scenes will be that much more impactful. There are twists and turns in this windy road that you want to get lost in.

My Review of "Val"
Val is a biographical documentary of the life and times of Val Kilmer. It was released recently in 2021 however the footage taken from it spans all the way to his early childhood. Many of us remember him in such popular movies as Batman, The Saint and Tombstone. He's been in so many great movies but we never really saw the man behind the actor. This film will make you understand what kind of person he is and what kind of artist he's become.

My Review of "Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed"
Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed is one of the latest Netflix documentaries to come out in 2021. I have to admit I don't know much about Bob Ross other than that PBS tv series he had for so many years. I remember how mellow and cool he was during the tapings of the show. When I saw the words "Betrayal" and "Greed" I was instantaneously intrigued.

My Review of "The Buddy Games"
The Buddy Games didn't immediately excite me when I saw the trailers for the movie. In fact, I thought it was going to be a pretty idiotic movie and it is but that didn't get me to watch it. One of the redeeming features about the movie was that I found out Olivia Munn was starring in the movie. The other factor is that I watched Tag and I thought it wasn't too bad. Maybe this movie would be similar. I wasn't wrong but I wasn't right either.

My Review of "Vacation Friends"
Vacation Friends is one of the bigger straight to streaming movies that came out recently in 2021. The premise seems very familiar but with a different set of actors to charm us. I wasn't sure how this movie was going to go because it was a straight to stream movie but I've been impressed from time to time. Why not give it a shot.
